dune Posted 14 March, 2012 Share Posted 14 March, 2012 why can't they give some value for money for the booking fee and send them recorded delivery? You totally miss the point of the booking fee. That would require a booking fee booking fee.

Chez Posted 16 March, 2012 Share Posted 16 March, 2012 I think they've certainly paid the price for not encouraging ST holders this year, the economic climate has kicked in at just about every club in the country, too easy for fans to pick and choose games. that's what many on here in the summer were saying. Encourage season ticket holders and you have them in the bag come what may, even with a lower income per game. But the club seemed to think they could make a lot more money through match by match purchases. I wonder if it has worked out as well as they thought? It probably has thanks to the amazing form of the side, but its been a shame not to see the stadium jam packed.
haddock22 Posted 16 March, 2012 Share Posted 16 March, 2012 Having not read this thread before today i went to st marys to get ticket for my son who is coming back from abroad to see the match.I was shocked to learn about having to buy extra doncaster match ticket as i explained my son wouldnt be in the country to see it.Luckily guy after me just wanted a doncaster ticket so i ended up like a ticket tout buying both tickets and then selling one to him.Usual farce with saints ticketing and alienating fans like myself who have had season tickets for 45 years. To top a good morning due to the messing around i ended up having to pay extra £1 for their carpark due to having to park other side to ticket office due to a conference at stadium.Saints continue to shot themselves in the foot and never learn

stevegrant Posted 16 March, 2012 Share Posted 16 March, 2012 Didn't we get the Barnsley tickets sent by recorded delivery earlier this season at no extra cost? Yes, and then the club realised they wouldn't make as much money if they did that again, so when the situation most demanded a recorded/special delivery (i.e. Pompey away), they managed to create the biggest ticketing farce since Fulham decided it would be a good idea to allow 16,000 tickets for the Europa League final to go on sale to 15,000 season ticket holders at 4 tickets per person, leaving some fans who had been to the far east of Russia for the first qualifying round without a ticket. They haven't got me with a car park charge yet, and so far they're down a pair of home shorts, a pair of away shorts, a pair of home socks (bought from JJB at half price instead) and a sale of both the white and blue away socks. That's £70 worth of merchandise I specifically haven't bought from Saints this season due to them charging to park in the car park and me not being prepared to pay for it. It'll be the same in future seasons too... and I also haven't been down there to buy a match ticket for a long time (including away matches), so they're conditioning me just not to buy match tickets and enabling me to make a disconnect between it being a matchday and me going to a match, which will definitely have happened already if I wasn't an ST holder. We'll see how this works out for them too if we get up to the Prem and stay long enough for the novelty to wear off. The9 Posted 16 March, 2012 Share Posted 16 March, 2012 When does everyone think they will sell out? Possibly the week of the match. It's never been a big seller, the perceived threat of trouble puts loads of people off, just as it does with Millwall away, even though it'll probably be the safest match of the season (apart from the trip to Fratton). CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 16 March, 2012 Share Posted 16 March, 2012 Spent £33 getting 3 kids tickets for Donny game last week and today tried to get a extra adult ticket for Pompey using than link - "computer says no" say the bleedin ticket office !!!!!! I wonder if anyone at the club knows (or cares) just how frustrating they have needlessly made what should be the simple matter of buying a ticket for a football match. haddock22 Posted 17 March, 2012 Share Posted 17 March, 2012 I think if you parked and then waited more than 15 minutes to buy a ticket you would not be happy and then think its poor customer service. In fact fill up your car with petrol at a garage then wait 15 mins before paying and see how long those minutes are and i would think you will see the point being made
Chez Posted 17 March, 2012 Share Posted 17 March, 2012 (edited) You can park in Britannia Road for free.never any spaces when I have come to buy a ticket during the week. All the club need to do is make the first hour free. Sad state of affairs when you have to pay for parking to buy a ticket. If you are happy with that then fine, but some of us don't like being taken for mugs. Edited 17 March, 2012 by Chez

svetigpung Posted 18 March, 2012 Share Posted 18 March, 2012 Anyone know how many tickets are still available for the big match? We cant get over for the Donny match and i am hoping theres still a chance of buying these seperately. Seems bit expensive to buy both sets and not use half of them. Shame i cant use my Donny away ticket.

Typical skate, talks up a good game but when it comes to the crunch absolute bottle jobs. Been these type of rumours as long as I've supported Saints, Eng Macedonia game a good exams "200 skates coming up without tickets".... They didn't. The 100 odd that did have any bottle were absolutely mullered outside the Joiners. No chance they'll want a repeat of that! 2000 Pompey hitching lifts and hiding in train toilets to avoid the OB... Otherwise known as a pompey fan then? I've never met such a bunch of deluded idiots as that lot, they seriously believe their own hype despite any facts to the contrary. It's been said only 1000 had booked their bus travel as they had to do it directly with the coach company as they refused to deal with their club. But it's still the same for them as it was for us, they only get their match tickets once on the bus. If they don't get on, they don't get in. WTFILN. And the knobhead supporters are unlikely to understand it either. It would come as no surprise if their attempt at implemented the bubble failed. Gigersaint Posted 23 March, 2012 Share Posted 23 March, 2012 (edited) After a few weeks of reservation the Mrs is now allowing our Son to go to the Pompey game, trouble is I already have my ticket with no spare seats either side. Will the ticket office let me swap my ticket for another elsewhere so we have two together? I also brought mine linked to Doncaster but won't be able to get my Sons until Monday, and if linked to the Reading game on Friday my son is away and can't make that game. Will I be able to link that as an adult ticket instead if the Reading game is linked? Bit annoyed with the Mrs that she didn't just let our son go in the first place when I got my ticket and I wouldn't be having this hassle, next time I'll get him one anyway! If anyone can advise before I get to the TO on Monday I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Edited 23 March, 2012 by Gigersaint
