I hope that stringent checks are put in place to check that the money recieved from the sales to the skates is genuine and not counterfiet or part of some money laundering scam

Should make them pay for their ticket allocation up front.

Exactly, didnt we get fleeced the last time they went into admin.3200 tickets at £25 a go is a lot of money which they will spunk away long before they are due to give it to us.

Didn't even think about this. Haven't seen anything announced. I can't remember any of our games against them not being on tv since 1996.

Pretty shocking if it's not tbh, as not only is it a derby game, it could decide a lot in the battle for promotion and relegation. Guess it means it will be a lot harder to get tickets.

Arsenal play Man City and it's the final day of the SPL on the same day so I suspect Sky will be more interested in covering that.

From memory one of the fixtures at St. Mary's (I think it was the League fixture) in the relegation season wasn't on Sky Sports/Prem Plus. Think they may have shown the F.A Cup game on BBC though.

Yeah the last day of the SPL should be thrilling  But yeah, I do see your point apart from that.

It's not the last day. They haven't announced the fixtures for the split yet, that's all.
Well even less reason for that to take priority over our game being on tv. Not massively bothered myself, would be good for those that can't make it for whatever reason though.

For every big game it really f&cks me off that season ticket holders mates get priority over everyone else, regardless to whether they have ever been to a game or not. I can't get a season ticket but go to at least 20 games a season home and away, yet some season ticket holders mate always get priority over me.

When are we going to introduce a points system based on the number of games you go to a season? Our ticket office are such amatures in comparrison to other clubs.

Don't you have to buy your Doncaster ticket at the same time as the Skate ticket?

Just rung ticket office helpline. Was told you can book Doncaster prior to March 11th but make a note of booking reference to quote when you later book for Pompey.

I have one slight worry though. If every season ticket holder buys an extra ticket, that is 25000 tickets gone before non season ticket holders get a chance to buy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. Believe they should only get 1 ticket each.

Agreed. It's not fair and doesn't make sense. They need to bring back membership.

I cant work out whether this is the best system or not. When I used to have a ST I'm sure we just got priority over away and cup games (gave it up in 2004).

As I get to 75% of home matches, know a lot of S/T holders, so most supporters who attend regulary will be in the same boat and should be able to get one. So that's a good thing. The bad side of it is that it doesn't take into account the loyalty of the extra ticket body. Just texted 2 mates for 2 tickets, one said fine, other one said he is taking his brother. Haven't seen his brother at a game for a couple of years, and I doubt if he would be going if we had Watford on that day. Will be able to get extra ticket, no problem, but bit annoyed about having to scramble about texting people or taking my chances a week later on database sales.

May get my nipper a S/T and an adult one next to it, and use it for family/ friends ect , next season. Maybe worthwhile if they're going to continue to sell like this for big games.

Dont really want to get into all this "I'm a better supporter than you debate", but do need some sort of loyalty/membership scheme if we go up.

So is the ticket office actually open on those Sundays?

Admittedly it seems strange to put "10am" if the thing's going to be closed all day... but I can't say Sunday Opening is something that springs to mind about the TO opening hours.

Yes they are in West Quay

This happened to me for the last linked game. I already had a ticket for the "smaller" of the 2 games. What they did was allowed me to link it ( It was either Man U or Pompey I cant remember which) to another game. They would not accept the reference number of the linked game I had tickets for already.

We are in block 24 - just to be on the safe side : )

Patrik, I sit in Block 20/21 (depends what is available). Meet prior to game?

Serves me right for not reading it...... they normally sell tickets on a Sunday ;-)

I bought FA Cup ones for Millwall ...wish I hadn't!!

Haha yeah, the power of hindsight hey? Do they not have the capacity to read the database in west quay or something?

Of course Norm - Linn want´s to go down to the stadium early. And do some shopping in the Megastore : )

I am not a season ticket holder bought a ticket from the mega store last Sat for Doncaster. I didnt give them my ref number. Just bought the ticket. How can I get a Portsmouth ticket? I did pay with mt debit card and still have the print out.

Very unfair that a ticket may be brought by ST holders who want to take there mate along whos not a saints fan.

I URGE every saints ST holder please only buy tickets for saints fans, its our day not a plastic UTD Chelsea fans day out.

COYR, il buy both my tickets and see you all at donny and skates.

Tickets will NOT be available to purchase online or from our WestQuay store for the Portsmouth fixture.

Why no online sales to people on the database ???????

Phoning up is notoriously a pain in the @rse and I dont want to pay a £ 15 ferry fare to get over from the island just to buy tickets ffs ?

So let me get this straight, as this year I'm a non season ticket holder, I will have to wait until the 11th of March to then purchase a Doncaster and Portsmouth ticket even though I can't make the Doncaster game?

Yes.

As a season ticket holder I find this very unfair - why should I be able to get a ticket for my old man (who goes to a couple of games a year at most) over someone who has been to every game but isn't a STH? Club know from the database who has been to the most games and they should sell tickets on that basis.

Having said that, I will get one for the old man, and stick him in Block 1 :)

they really ought to get membership up and running again. The cost would cover the admin.

if this is a way of persuading people to buy STs, its a very odd thing to do, especially since they did very little to encourage sales this year.

Incidentally, the failure to sell as many Sts as they might have is hitting attendances.

Spot on. I've been to 20 games home and away so far this season and will hopefully end up going to around 30 by the end of the season. Ridiculous that regular fans end up behind the pecking order to season ticket holders' mates. I'm not from the area so don't know any season ticket holders. I can't make the Donny game but considering buying a ticket for that just to guarantee a ticket for this one.

Now if only there was still a fans forum or open communication with the club to raise such issues.............................

You could argue that it is not ridiculous that Ssn ticket mates get tickets ahead of regular non Ssn ticket holders, it just increases demand fir season tickets the following year....that is the effect that it has had on me

We need a 'caps' system next year IF we go up. A simple online website.

Know friends from other clubs who have a good system, Spurs for example.

Needs to also recognise non ST holders, but who attend most aways.

From the club's point a view, i think it would be benefitial because it would perhaps spur people on to go to more games.

Not suggesting we're on par with clubs like Spurs, but for big home games, and all London aways etc there would be a scrap for tickets.

Of course if we do go up, nothing will happen.

Yes but they also have to buy Donnie tickets! What if non ST holders buy out all the tickets for this game? Then ST holders won't be able to buy Pompey tickets as they will not be able to buy Doncaster tickets!

A very good point. I have now received confirmation by email from the ticket office as follows:- 'You can purchase tickets for Doncaster now online, in person or over the phone and when Portsmouth go on sale we will be able to check your history and see that you have purchased Doncaster already. Be advised however that the Portsmouth game will not be available online'. So there you have it!!! need to keep a note of order number and database username.

Agree with this why should seasson ticket holders be able to buy 2 tickets they only need one I ve done all bar 2 home games and 6 away games with my sons but not a season ticket holder as I never know if I am working or not it may cost more but I could lose out if I was a season ticket holder, maybe a discount would be a better idea for season ticket holders

I agree, gave up my Season Ticket because I can only really make Saturday games, and there were more and more Sun games, particulary in Premierhip and a lot of midweek games when we got relegated. If we were playing Donny on Easter Saturday and not Skates I would be there. I've had to text round mates asking for 2 extra tickets . I had no trouble getting them, but that's beside the point. Most of the ST holders thought it was a bit strange, and some have had work collagues or mates who dont normally bother to go, pestering them already for tickets. Seems a strange thing to do, particulary as they seemed to discourage ST sales preseason. I guess it's just a simple and cheap option, with the added benefit of extra ST sales next season, I'm defo starting to think about getting my lad and me one and taking the hit or selling them on/giving them to family, for midweek/sun games.

Doesn't make it right but if enough non season ticket holders buy tickets for Donny prior to 4th March like Benfcno1 suggested, maybe there would not be many left to buy by season ticket holders!!!!

This is ******, I just want to go the Pompey game not bloody Doncaster, don't get many chances to go to games so have to pick and choose, can't make both. This makes me very angry!!

First and foremost though, surely you're there to watch saints and not the opposition? So just view it as a good way of taking in two games when you normally wouldn't. Treat yourself.

Yes I am there to watch saints but won't be able to go to both games as with new family have commitments, people may call me plastic but with the distance cost and time involved it's just not that easy.
