Supporters who purchase tickets for Saints' home match with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 24th March will gain priority for the Portsmouth fixture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for supporters to take their place at two of the final four home Championship games as the exciting finale to the campaign intensifies.

December's 1-1 draw at Portsmouth denied Saints the early bragging rights, but a return to home on soil on Saturday 7th April at 1pm kicks off a dramatic last month of the season for Nigel Adkins' men.

• From 10am on Sunday 4th March, a one week window of sale will be opened up for 2011/12 Season Ticket Holders to purchase one additional ticket for Portsmouth when buying for Doncaster.

We can also confirm that tickets for any Disabled Customers registered on the database will also be available form this time.

So is the ticket office actually open on those Sundays?

Admittedly it seems strange to put "10am" if the thing's going to be closed all day... but I can't say Sunday Opening is something that springs to mind about the TO opening hours.

Having to buy for the Doncaster game makes sense, probably the least attractive home fixture remaining for the season so should guarantee a good crowd for that one.
Understandable but annoying for me as I can't make the Doncaster game! Anyone want to buy a Donny ticket off me that's not going to Pompey ;)

Always think they should at least give more than one game to pair your ticket with, why not at least offer the Barnsley and Ipswich games as options for people?

Why should season ticket holders be able to get another ticket before non season ticket holders? If they went to the database who have been to say at least 3/5 home games this season first, then the fans who deserve to go would be guaranteed first pic of the tickets. At the end of the day season ticket holders already have their ticket, and if their mate wants to go they should have already been this season and def on the database! In terms of prices, wont they be exactly the same as the rest of the games?

If i Read this correctly, then If I buy a ticket for Doncaster today, I would be guaranteed a ticket for Pompey?

I read it as you need to buy your Donny ticket after 11th March (assume you're a non ST holder) at the same time as you buy your Skate ticket.

I'm unsure about this myself.

Seems like you have to buy them at the same time, not too sure how much of a difference it would make when you buy the Donny ticket though, as long as you've got it on your purchase history, what's the problem?

The prices are the same as they are for every league game.

Considering they are selling them to STHs who don't have to usually buy tickets, I'm sure this little bit of information would be handy.

why are you embarrassed.?

why do fans get so upity about having a full house or not...?

Because of the sh*t we give them about attendances (which is pretty much all we have) and then go on to not sell out in 'The biggest derby game in England'. Pretty cack really. I'm not saying this will happen, but it makes it more likely. Sorry if I have different feelings to you, I bet I'm not alone.

fwiw, it make's jot all difference to me as I don't require an extra ticket

would be handy if that was clarified to be fair. Do they need to be bought at the same time, or just a case of having on the buying record?

Agree with another poster further up, don't get why season ticket holders should have any priority for this. Its yet another good example of why we should still have memberships.

To encourage people to buy season tickets in the future?....

Poor reply and reason if that is true! I had a season ticket for 15 years before I came to uni and will get one again when I finish my MSc this year, however Have not been able to afford one but still manage to get to over half home games and a handful of away every year, many other people cant afford to pay out for a seaosn ticket or cant get to everygame. As said by others, this is why we used to have membership. The club limited the time period for getting season tickets and dont offer half season tickets as they seem to prefer individual match sales with the added charges and the potential of extra merchandise sales from new supporters. so why then punish people who havnt purchased a season ticket, with many of them still giving the club as much of an income as season ticket holders.

Really hope they open it straight away. Surely they'll be aware there will be good demand for this game. Imagine if they open it last and it's a load of families sat there
Was sort of my thoughts. Those blocks would sell in the first day if given the chance. Was in there for the cup game the other year and it was a cracking atmosphere.

If I could move my season ticket for this game. I'd be straight into block 1. The banter would be brilliant.

For the cup game I was next to the netting so it was okay, but as they will have a smaller allocation, I wont get to see the whites of their eyes while I shove celebrations down their throats.

One of those games where i'd definitely like to be in the Itchen corner, but i'm guessing they won't let you move season tickets seats for the game

They won't, but if you are buying extra tickets get them in the Itchen corner, then just give your ST's to whoever the tickets were for and sit in Block 1-3 yourself.

Is it on tv?

Didn't even think about this. Haven't seen anything announced. I can't remember any of our games against them not being on tv since 1996.

Pretty shocking if it's not tbh, as not only is it a derby game, it could decide a lot in the battle for promotion and relegation. Guess it means it will be a lot harder to get tickets.

Do we know if blocks 1-3 will be open straight away or held back until last?

Was open straight away last time (Cup Game) mate. Block 2, row JJ or above for me. Was amazing there last time. No women. No Kids. No shirts. Black hooded jackets only.

In all seriousness I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, when your there you realise how insignificant the Northam is as they can't look into the whites of your eyes there.

I'll do what I always do, panic I won't get a ticket so queue up from 6am, get an early ticket feel relieved then realised a load of others have got theirs 3 seats away from me 2 weeks after!

Yeah, but that cup game was different in that block 42 was handed over to the Skates, therefore there was less of the home sections of the ground to sell, block 42 needed somewhere to move and they mainly chose the Itchen North. Northam wouldn't have looked that good, as most of it (more than a normal league game) had been handed over to the Skates. Was a cracking atmosphere over there for that game though.

How many people's decision to shell out £500 would be influenced by that, as opposed to all teh other potential factors though? Very, very few I'd imagine.

How many people would be influenced by guaranteeing a seat for the big games...... In the Prem, quite a lot I'd imagine.

When Lambert scored it was honestly the most bonkers I've ever gone in 29 years of supporting Saints! Bedlum around me - sheer release of hatred mixed with joy that I've never experienced like before or since.

Good point regarding block 42. I won't buy a ticket until 1-3 are open though, nowhere else in the ground comes close to that for me on a derby day. My brother and I jibbed in there in 05 (I think), always room to squeeze in amongst friends!
