Mr Southampton & the teams around us.

Went to the ground yesterday to finish off my sons football for autographs.

Kelvin Davis signed it and asked if he had everyone's on it?

We had about 6 left to get so he asked us to meet him round the front in 15 minutes time as he will take it in the changing room for us.

Fair play to the bloke for doing that.

He even said he got Tandari's but nobody understands it.

Those teams around us Brum & Cardiff, The longer they stay in the cup the better ESP Brum.

Hope they beat Chelsea.

Kelvin does come across as a genuinely nice fella. Always good to have someone in the dressing room who was here when the club was rock bottom.

Agree completely - I won't forget how he held back on the West Ham move (they were PL then, of course) until he heard we'd been saved and signed straight away. Great club captain and role model.

I met him when I won his shirt in the MOTM text vote for the Brighton home game last season. An absolute gent, very warm and friendly. Taller than you expect too, he was taller than me, and I'm 6'. I received the shirt after the FA cup game vs Cheltenham, before the draw. I asked him who he fancied in the next round and he said "someone big, then concentrate on the League". Good guess on his part.

When they beat us 2-1 at St Mary's in the Play-Off semi-final 1st leg Billy 'the c*ck' Davies and their players and fans celebrated as if they had just won the league. In the end they did go up but most fans felt with a second leg (we beat then 3-2 and lost on penalties) and a final to go the celebrating was way over the top and even a little inflammatory.

The oft' used expression at the time was 'celebrating like they won the league'.

I just wonder that was all but I doubt it to be honest.
