Bearsy Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 I'm with the op it infuriates me all the time they show outside the stadium and players running onto the pitch when they could be showing additional match action. I wouldn't give up the studio bits though if only to see what's going on with Claridge's hair this week. Seriously what is up with his barnet? It's never the same colour one week to the next, sometimes he has a weird comb-over sometimes like a witches peak the only thing you can guarantee is it never ever looks good! Hockey_saint Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 You all appear to be missing what I think was Nige's best quote! "the future's very very bright, the future's bright; it's red and white" THAT was my favourite Adkins quote.....hats off to him!
Foxstone Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 Claridge is an honest man, and I like him for his integrity and the knowledgable manner he reports as he sees it. Great clips of us too
The9 Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 "Its a consistency that you aim for; I think if you remain consistent, and you've been successful with being consistent, then that consistency will get you through to remain being successful." Wise words, Nigel, wise words. Except of course that this is utter bull, because you can be consistent without being good, and being consistently bad is in no way linked to success. Dr Who? Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 I have never had a problem with Claridge, always speaks sense, and is honest. Let's face it with have a great club, with a great future. The future is bright, the future is red and white.
The9 Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 Away from goal? hardly....even Paul jewell reckoned that it should of probably been a red I thought the ref got it spot on, the Cardiff striker's first touch ended up rolling off the pitch for a throw in - he was going wide when the keeper clattered him, and there was a defender who'd have got back by the time he got the ball under control if he'd managed it at all. Paul Jewell said he could have gone, not that he thought it was a red.
The9 Posted 19 February, 2012 Share Posted 19 February, 2012 i think a deranged retard would know what he meant. Well yeah, but he should probably be trying not to sound stupid to people who still bother to actually listen to him.

Do you not like Adkins? I love his interviews, he is so calm, and that rubs off on the players.

Normally I quite likes the fact that he sounds intelligent and doesn't say anything of consequence while sounding positive, but he doesn't normally say things quite so obviously nonsense. Saying this I think he was on drugs yesterday as he seemed in a strange mood. When we sang Nigel, Nigel give us a wave, he jumped out of his seat, and really waved like a madman. Ok it was 3-0 at the time with 15 minutes left, but it is normally a small wave. He really did wave and start punching the air. I think he was really genuiney happy that everything came together again, and two of his subs scored, and one of his new signings.

BTW Saint Posted 20 February, 2012 Share Posted 20 February, 2012 At the start when walking through the prerecorded section in the changing rooms he said 15 months ago we were getting over "the sudden death of Marcus", the depature of Pardew and "hanging omninously over the play off zone", surely should have meant relegation zone! Anyway, I liked the extended coverage, would have liked more goal action, however understand the limitations of the contract. My children enjoyed seeing back stage and my daughter (6) wanted to keep rewatching the little girl having a photo taken with Nigel in the corridor. Liked the Nigel quote on the future being red and white. One for the book.
doddisalegend Posted 20 February, 2012 Share Posted 20 February, 2012 I like Lamberts little bit pre match "We're second with half a season gone you couldn't ask for better than that"........................erm what about being first Rickie? I used to sign off by posts on a music forum with that, it used to annoy the hell out of the skate on there, (he's not posted for some time now). I wonder if Nigel is a Queen fan?
