St Chalet Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Great Result. Good to see Lee get his first goal, Fox show he can cross and the goals get shared out. Hoping Sharp and Jos okay.
Saintjersey Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Fantastic result made even better with Cardiff getting thumped and the Skates losing.
Dalek2003 Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Perfect day, hope Jos and Sharp ok as said. Maybe just knocks and precautionary.
SNSUN Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Top of the League, we're top of the league, we are Southampton, we're top of the league...
Panda Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Oh what a perfect day, and on my birthday too! Saints big win, Pimpley lose and 3 points adrift of safety, Cardiff thrashed too ... wonderful!
Thedelldays Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 what a great day. 4-0, sounds like back to brilliant best 4 different scorers lee with a cracker chappers getting an hour top of the league massive goal difference again pompey lose 2-0 lets just hope we get anything but a west ham win in the week
Micky Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 So long as Sharp and Jos are ok - great day at the office. Sounded like KD could have taken is deck chair, paper and flask......
latter day saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Were top of the league! were top of the league ! we are Southampton were top of the league ! Excellent result. 4 goals & none from our strickers shows what an exciting team we have !
DG Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Best set of results for a long time, hope it continues.
Window Cleaner Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Fantastic result made even better with Cardiff getting thumped and the Skates losing. Cardiff looking pretty shaky now, might not even be in the play-off places when the games in hand wind out. Cup Final done for them?
Cestrian Saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Great result. Had a good feeling about this one. Felt that somebody was gonna be on the wrong end of 3 or 4 from us sometime soon. 4 goals scored & not one from Rickie or Sharp. Certainly didn't expect the 2 CB's to be on the score sheet. Fantastic result. Need to start doing this away from home!
Window Cleaner Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Were top of the league! were top of the league ! we are Southampton were top of the league ! Excellent result. 4 goals & none from our strickers shows what an exciting team we have ! Lee is a stricker.
Sheaf Saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Perfect. We go back to the top, Pompey go level on points with bottom (whenever the table will finally update to show the 10-point deduction). Couldn't ask for better. Sounds like we played some superb stuff today as well - definitely got our mojo back it seems. And the team we go away to next week got d1cked 4-0 to an average team as well.
opthomps Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Well, it looks like I will be out at Derby beer festival with a smile tonight. Inevitable win.
Under Weststand Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Great win sounds like we were back to form, can't wait to see Lee's goal sounded a cracker. Really seem to have got options up front now. Lets hope that Jos injury is not serious.
Viking Warrior Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Mickydont wory if sharp is injured we have barnard/Guly/SDR and Connolly. not to forget Falque
Deano6 Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Lee Martin must be Saints man of the day. Not only did he score 2 at St Marys, he scored 2 for Ipswich in their victory over Cardiff today too! Interesting fact of the day: The initials of the top 4 in Scotland now read, in reverse order, "HMRC".
Saintjersey Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Bloody Leeds, how many minutes of injury time has been played?
Cestrian Saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Sky said Sharp & Jos were tactical substitutions. Not sure about that? Nigel's no fool when it comes to fitness. Probably just precautionary. Better safe than sorry.
martyg1950 Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Top of the league Our MOJO is BACK Who's laughing now
Window Cleaner Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Bloody Leeds, how many minutes of injury time has been played? Keeping Leeds thinking they're in with a play-off hope is important, they've a lot of rivals to play yet.Don't care about Pompey, they'll go down anyway.
Sheaf Saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Bloody Leeds, how many minutes of injury time has been played? Goal scored on 90 +8:49 according to BBC. What happened there then? Must have been a serious injury or something.
Micky Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Lee is a stricker. Errr, no he's not.....!!!!
trousers Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 So, just to clarify, we're not rubbish anymore?
CWD Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Well good. Hope Jos and Sharp are ok. TOP OF THE LEAGUE
Deano6 Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Goal scored on 90 +8:49 according to BBC. What happened there then? Must have been a serious injury or something. Serious clash of heads. Robbie Rogers down for ages. They'd signalled 5 mins of injury time before that happened.
saint_jas Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Thats a great win, hope Jos and Sharp are ok. Cannot wait for work on Monday to wind up the **** of a Derby fan who works there.
Foxstone Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Bloody chuffed to bits with that !! Well done lads and well done Tadanari !!
Window Cleaner Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Hmmm 23 votes already in the MOTM poll, don't vote if you haven't seen the game lads, makes a mockery of it.
alpine_saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 A truly wonderful weekend to be a Saints fan. Only slight cloud is the substitutions of Jos and Billy. Hope they are OK. Back to the top...

Minty Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Sky said Sharp & Jos were tactical substitutions. Not sure about that? Nigel's no fool when it comes to fitness. Probably just precautionary. Better safe than sorry. Hooiveld just posted on Twitter: Hahaha, great win and great goal!! I'm coming for you Ricky Lambert haha. Injury is nothing to worry about, precaution. COYR!!

Micky Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 @joshooiveld20: Hahaha, great win and great goal!! I'm coming for you Ricky Lambert haha. Injury is nothing to worry about, precaution. COYR!! Jos is right good at keeping the fans in the know - top bloke. Love the banter too.
Window Cleaner Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 A truly wonderful weekend to be a Saints fan. Only slight cloud is the substitutions of Jos and Billy. Hope they are OK. Back to the top... Jos says he's Ok and I'm none too worried about Billy, reckon Tad will be a much better striker.
Dark Munster Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 @joshooiveld20: Hahaha, great win and great goal!! I'm coming for you Ricky Lambert haha. Injury is nothing to worry about, precaution. COYR!! Jos is a top bloke it seems.
CanadaSaint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 I just get the feeling that we're a much stronger club than we were when we were on our great run. Far more options and much more depth. Touch wood and whistle, we'll take a lot of stopping now.
Dalek2003 Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Jos....buy of the season. Could be a real legend like Svensson was !
Viking Warrior Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 NA comments every one together. Demonstrated score goals exceptional goals. Lees what a strike , we scored from two corners Fox unbelievable delivery looking for consistency Every confidence with Harding at RB Subs - Jos hamstring not too bad Sharp tactical change high hopes for billy Chung aks lee , known as chung by the team Conducted himself so well - hard working reall really talented player. (Sounds like we have a real star in the squad)
yorkie Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Pleased with the result - all we need now is for WHU to draw both games in hand! Who is to say they won't lose one of them? Not convinced we are at our back to our best yet - never fear...Leeds looks like a tough one in a couple of weeks, but then again Watford could be a banana skin as they are a bit of a bogey team!
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Jos....buy of the season. Could be a real legend like Svensson was ! 100% this. So happy with today. Onwards and upwards.
Dalek2003 Posted 18 February, 2012 Posted 18 February, 2012 Without them I'm not sure we can reach 17th. I shall attempt to re-write history and my part in the prediction if proved wrong. Isn't that the way as done by the vocal minority of 2004.
