I thought that but then I have to say he would probably not walk straight back into the side. His problem is basically that he is still exactly the same player that left us. Arsenal have not developed him at all. He constantly makes the wrong choices (shoot or pass), plays with his head down and fails to read the game. His blistering pace is something most clubs would welcome though!

His failings (if you can call it that) is not necessarily down to him. When he made his mark here he was playing upfront. It's Wenger who thinks he is a winger. Should have developed him in to a full blown striker in Owen-esc fashion. Poor boy couldn't cross the road let alone a ball.

Absolutely right. Would love to have him back but how many forwards do we need?!
