I watched the Saints v Liverpool Valentines Day game c.1994 when Le Tiss scored a hat-trick in the snow in a pub in Swansea with the guy who was Danny Kendall in Grange Hill.Just say no kids.

I watched that game at the Dell, I couldnt see sh*t.

Sporting celebrities i have picked up in my cab include Arsene Wenger, Amdi Faye, Geoffrey Boycott and Ian Botham, of those the only one to tip me (and VERY substantially was Botham) non sport celebs include Hunter from Gladiator, Mcfadden from Eastenders, that bloke who dresses up as Lily Savage and the girl from A Band Of Skulls is a regular with us (soon to be a massive star).

Bill Turner (BBC BREAKFAST) at Wycombe several times.... nice bloke but each time I wished it was his co presenter Susanna Reid.

Nick Mason and Richard Wright from Pink Floyd in one of the bars on the Zeebrugge ferry on the way to Anderlecht 77.

I seem to remember their customised tour bus below decks all black + shiny with tinted windows.

Last night i met Billy Mitchell at West Ham.

I have also met the fit bird from some tv show and her boyfriend Will Mellor at Old Trafford, they were sat in front of us.

And Graham Taylor, ex FA Chief at Anfield but I thought it was Grahm Hiley from the Echo, and said 'Hello Graham, how you doing?' and obviously he replied, weird!

I dont think the last one counts as its a football related person, should be non football celebs really.

Graham Hiley left the Echo years ago - he is now a part-time lecturer at Solent Uni alongside another grizzled old Echo hack, John May.

As for famous people I once watched Saints v Man Utd standing next to Peter Noone from Herman Hermits. This was back in the 70s.

Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater out of Eastenders) absolutely sh*tfaced in a bar in Tel Aviv before Israel away a few years back. She looks rough in the flesh and that was after 7 pints as well.

I've seen Will Campion from Coldplay and Chris Packham the wildlife presenter in the Kingsland stand at St Marys on several occasions and stood next to Phil Harding the time team archeologist in the Milton End at the Dell before it was converted to seating.

I've also had the misfortune to be in St Marys for an England U21 match when that Uber pompey celebrity fan westwood was there, I was half a stand away but could still smell him stinking of p*ss! Due to distant relations of mine being Hammers fans, i've also met quite a few of their celeb fans. I've met celeb Norwich fans Stephen Fry and Jon Hare in the past as well.

I didn't meet him/haven't met him but apparently Frankie Cocozza was a 'special guest' of West Ham last night?

Why nobody kicked him in the face I'll never know.

They would have done if they:

a) remembered who he was

b) remembered what he looked liked

Bumped into Will Carling at Wembley after some England game, it was the time when he was poking Diana, I asked him how she was, and if I could smell his fingers? He was very rude.

I held Nicola Cortese's umbrella while we were photographed together with NA, SRL and my two lads at the first pre-season game in Switzerland last year.

I had to go and find Nicola later to give him his umbrella back. He wouldn't accept it back till I'd paid over the odds for the privilege and included sell on clauses.

Had the pleasure of meeting David Moyes and Sir Clive Woodward at Burnley (during his DOF phase.) Moyes was absolutely fearsome, that stare! Sir Clive was a really nice and friendly guy, happy to talk and seemed very optimistic about our future at the time, oh dear.

Hey don't start going off on tangents about meeting people on planes or ferries - stick it to footie matches.

Otherwise I have to mention who I have met who plays sport at the GOLF again.....

I SOOO know you don't want THAT to happen

I met Jose Mourinho here in Minsk, going into the stadium to watch a friendly between Belarus and Argentina. This was just after he had left Chelski.

I met John Fashanu at an U21 international back in the 90s but other than that I'm usually too focused on the game to pay any attention to what's around me, pathetically obsessed with Saints that I am.

yeah, spoke with Graham at the Leicester match (this time i got the right one), he was also at the Burnley game, converted from Reading it seems. He also did a bit for the FA website if I remember rightly.

Loads of footy ones :

Stood next to Fabio Capello at Euro 2004 in the VIP bar before Italy v Bulgaria in Guimaraes. Saw John Barnes outside Stade de France before Scotland v Brazil in 1998. Klaus Toppmuller (ex Hamburg boss) was in the box next to me for Latvia v Germany in Bessa Stadium in Porto. Graham Kelly the ex-FA secretary wandered past me at USA 94 in San Francisco. Gordon Strachan and his mate Mark McGhee were parked next to me at the school car park near Villa Park for the Scotland v Holland match at Euro 96 too (and Andy Gray was in the crowd just behind me at the match).

More randomly I got Nigel Kennedy the "punk violinist"'s autograph outside the Dell circa 1993 (yes we were playing Villa) and bumped (not literally :() into Kirsty Gallagher right outside Putney tube station after Fulham v Saints in 2004. Both she and Capello are a lot shorter than they look on telly.

Oh yeah, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was on the same flight to Berlin as me heading for World Cup 2006. Come to think of it, major tournaments are a hotbed of celeb spotting, I also shared an hotel with the Bulgaria squad in Euro 2004 - they managed to afford a Novotel and Hristo Stoichkov popped in to walk around the bar making sure we knew who he was...

And Iwan Thomas walked past us on the way to the ground near the fire station a couple of weeks ago - and the drunk loser from One Born Every Minute was drunk and walking past us on the way back telling everyone he was the bloke off the telly the same day.

Oh, and I haven't spoken to any of them (except one "can I have your autograph"), not my thing.

My missus had her pic taken with him so can confirm he was there.

He was on the big screen for about 5 minutes so I'm pretty sure a lot of people can confirm he was there, he got quite a loud chorus of boos from the away end actually.

He was inerviewed and said Wes Ham would win 3-0

Why wasn't Jodan Sibley around to do that?

I once spent an entire half-time in the Kingsland concourse retrieving lobsters from Jayne Mansfield's arsehole.

Lobsterisimus Bumicisimus ? (I've never written that before so not sure of the spelling)

Met and had a photo taken with Ray Winstone leaving Wembley after the first England game against Brazil. Was a nice guy but I couldn't muster up the courage to ask him "where's your tool?".

literally bumped into Gordon Banks in winchester when the Grobelaar trial was on. Resisted exclaiming 'aye aye gordon'!!

Met KK at chilworth golf range. Met Channon at salisbury races.

Drank with Claus, Paul williams in jumping jacks in cardiff after the final

Sat in the row and seat in front of John Howard, then aussie PM at SCG on the ashes tour 2002/3....said a polite hello when returning from lunch and we happened to make eye contact!!

Spent an evening drinking with Peter Rodrigues in the Grapes a few ydars back. Top man and tells brilliant stories. Still very proud about 76!
