Easy run in?

No such thing of course however of our remaining 15 games only 4 are against top 10 teams

Thinking of Bristol City and Doncaster it is not necessarily a comfort.

Also none of current top 10 teams can do the double over us so we have clearly perform well against the better sides - how Leicester are not in top 10 is beyond me though!

meh....dont worry about the reports....lets hope they drop more points at blakpool and we go back top on sat....

that was probably the hardest away game left....just think the likes of..

pompey

ipswich

barnsley

donny

coventry

to come to sms

and we still play

millwall

posh

watford

away

not a bad run in...still to play 7 of the bottom 10

I think it will go to the last game of the season...coventry at home for us...easiest on paper

west ham v hull

brum v reading

watford v boro

palace v cardiff

I think 85 points will be enough for 2nd...ie 8 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats

we are going to have to win about 3 more away games IMO

our tough games on paper really are....

hull away

boro away

blackpool away

reading home

and maybe leeds away (seeing as they will no doubt have a new manager by then)

On paper it's not a bad run in, but I worry about playing teams battling for relegation at this stage of the season - and as we've seen all year, teams at either end can throw up surprise results. No one can predict what will happen.

If we can keep ticking along as we have been, and carry on this decent unbeaten run, we'll be ok. As long as we're in the mix for the top 2 come to the final few weeks I'll be happy, I can't really see anyone running away with it - it'll be tight all the way through now.

No such thing as an easy run in. It's going to be tight as a gnat's chaff - but I really think we can do it.

Wish we didn't have Pompey in April though - it always becomes a distraction. And we've got bigger fish to fry (see what I did there) than battering the Blue Few.

Just gave your post a slight tweak hope you don't mind.

As for the OP then I've been thinking along these lines for a while. We seem to be over the slump, & have got through a tough period of fixtures, now I know that nothing is a given in this league, but our fixture list on paper is quite a decent run in. Agree with TDD 85-points is a very realistic & do-able target.

On Monday we might well find out we haven't got Pompey in April.

Let's win the winnerables, and try and pick up 4 more points from the other games.

We should do it, but wo knows.... There is going to be a lot of table watching between now and the end of the season.
