Nasty team playing nasty football. I really don't think it was a penalty at all.

West Ham were very lucky tonight.

I think they've been pretty lucky all season they seem to get an awful lot of pens and get away with a lot of kicking chunks out of the oppo...the first 15mins of tonights match was probably the best they've played all season...

BBC seems to agree with them. From their match report.

'Allardyce's side remain top and it will take something special to prevent them from returning back to the Premier League at the first attempt based on tonight's evidence.

Just a point separated these two sides before the game but the gulf in class during the opening stages could not have been greater.

West Ham outclassed, outmuscled and outplayed their opponents early on but once Taylor had been dismissed, a combination of great goalkeeping from Green and poor finishing from Sharp prevented Saints clawing their way back into the contest. '

So that's 2 games and 4 points from those two for us...do they forget who spent 27 years in the top flight whilst the other team were in and out like a woodpecker? do they forget that it's supposed to be thair natural right to the title? so much so they've already booked the thames river cruise? and they call us arrogant? seriously? it's you, the west ham fans who most of the league see as the arrogant bell ends thank you very much.....thanks for keeping our spot warm however, we'll be taking that back shortly.

I read that last night when I got back in.

There is no doubting that WHU started off well and were by far the better team but that paragraph does goes a little OTT.

I can't believe what I'm reading on there. Some of them saying they were "brilliant" and "fantastic" and how they should have di*ked us?? We totally dominated as soon as they went down to 10 men as expected. What a strange bunch.

Love this gem from Kumb

Sharp should be banned for 10 games and Southampton have 3 points deducted.

That would ensure such cheating didn't happen again.

And the ref should be suspended at least until he accepts he was wrong to give the red card without talking to the linesman.

Wrong decisions like missed penalties I accept will happen, but to send someone off without consulting the linesman who was next to the incident and when you can't have seen what happened is unacceptable.

I take it he hasn't seen the pictures. So Sharp should get a ten match ban for being hit in the face.........:scared:

They seem to be trying to justify it by making up that Sharp threw a punch, a punch that was missed by all 32,000 in the ground and all the cameras in the ground.
Never really had a look on that forum before. Would have thought West Ham would have a bit more about them than those on there, come across as a pretty desperate, clueless bunch.
