No injurys, will take a point although do feel a bit gutted.

I still believe we can do get promotion although for some reason saints clearly play better at 3 o clock + WH players didnt play saturday and therefore maybe better condition!

We really are. We're on a nice little unbeaten run in the league now, defense is tightening up with Jos returning and we sound lively again.

No surprise that we're improving with our better players coming back.

puncheon sounded very lively when he came on....probably will start on sat with hammond

Not good enough but not the fault of the players. Adkins and Crosby need to work out how to play against 10 men. Maybe the problem is that on match days they are always in the technical area and not listening to Radio Solent to get Dave Merrington's advice!!!

Surprised he didn't start tbh.

Looking forward to Saturday, huge chances to go back top of the league as WHU don't play this weekend.

A point is better than a poke in the eye. Satisfied rather than ecstatic.

Been distracted this evening - did Goolie warrant his selection or did Puncheon prove that NA got it wrong ?

What's with the Robert Green comments ?

Please, give me strength. Loon.

At least thats the "tougher" run of games over. With the remaining games we have, only 5 of them are in the top half of the table.

Careful I thought that just before the Bristol City away game and an 'easier' December.

A good fighting point. I feel our game plan may have been off but we are still in the fight at the summit. Both sides missed chances, that is an honourable draw.

He had a great game. Saving all sorts of shots, claiming corners etc.

good point awya to biggest team in the leaque for squad. WH are 1/4 to get promoted and this point means Saints are still 3 points clear of 3rd and a win on Sat vs Derby and results going our way can get us back on track. We got the points and promotion is in our hands just like last season. well done Saints

Interesting stat to be positive about: the average points of our remaining opposition is 39.667, statistically we have the easiest run in in the division.

By contrast, West Ham have the second most in the division , 43.625 is the average points of their remaining opposition.

Would have taken that before the game but after listening to the second half we should have won easily. Will take the point and the four we have had off them though....happy.

Why do we always seem to bring the best out in the opposing goalie (Calamity, Schmeichel, etc..) ?

I would say, with the quality we have up front, more shots then most teams, etc. Goalies look good. It happens.

Good point tonight, main thing was not losing.

I didn't listen. To saints player but Merrington sounds like a tit tonight . Surely it was west ham who dropped 2 points .

Teres something not right about Merrington, cant work out why but he seems to love critisising Adkins.

Plus would also like to say that I feel our run in to the end of the season is very good, we really can do this. COYS

Adkins is a far more successful manager than Merrington was. Bit of ego in there I think.

Just to ammend your comment -

I would say, with the quality we have up front, more shots then most teams, etc. we should score more goals more often. it often does not happen that way.

Also agree with your last point by the way.

Would have taken it pre match.

We've just come off the back of a bad run, and while some will still point at the fact we've only won X games in X many attempts, we're unbeaten in 4 games against Cardiff, Birmingham, Burnley and West Ham. Very important that.

Win on Saturday and that'll be 7 points this week. Every one of us would have bitten your arm off for that.

Mental isn't it. I swear they do it just to get a read out. They cannot genuinely believe that.

Thats what radio / tv thrive on - controversial comments - not balanced thoughtful opinions.

To be fair I think it's pretty simple to play against 10 men. Get players wide, keep the ball, sounds like we went narrow tonight.

sports editor from mail on twitter said Sharp is a cheat! What happened? did taylor deserve to go?

He's a skate, so yes! ;)

I'm happy with a point, it's a game we could've easily lost and we played well. If Sharp hadn't missed that sitter it would be a different story...

Have said all along that if we come out of today unscatched & with wins against Burnley and Derby then we'll be in the driving seat, just Saturday to get though now!

Just looked at WHAM's next 3 games Blackpool (a) Crystal Palace (h) Cardiff (a) even that home game is no banker . I think we can go back to the top and stay there now.

Blackpool will tear them apart - so much pace in their side. I think that's what we lacked today in effect, just that yard to penetrate their back 4 and also somebody to shore up the midfield - Cork too hotheaded and Schneiderlin giving away silly fouls. Sounds like Hammond did well when he came on.

They also have 8 games in March and 6 games in April.

I'm actually a bit disappointed but pleased at the same time.

I thought we had more than enough to see them off if we'd had the courage to go at them as soon as they went one goal up and one man down.

Still a good point, though.
