Can someone (preferably over seas) sort me out with a job or help?

Time to make a change!!!

You mean you don't fancy a tear up in the Falklands so you're jumping ship (literally)? The reason the job needs to be over seas is because you'll be AWOL...?

My cousin works as a surveyor for an oil company, I would ask him but he's currently in or around the Congo somewhere with no t'internet. He certainly visits some interesting places.

I almost exclusively teach students overseas who go on to work on oil rigs. Eight months holiday a year once they start working, with a basic salary plenty higher than mine and I do pretty well. Apparently the catering is amazing too.

any of our ex pats want to help..?

I'm not an expat and can't sort you out with a job but I've spent the last few days in Singapore and reckon you could do a lot worse than look for a job here. Its a really livable city -organised and together, accessible to everywhere else in ASia.Everyone speaks English and the labour market is really tight - employers find it difficult to get good staff. Two separate singaporeans told me its really easy for Brits to walk into jobs, preferred over locals. Was even talking to one guy who came out gfrom uk for a holiday- he was offered a job without even looking -- and he's got a bad stammer and nervouus twitch. You should come out here for a looksee. If you can put up with living in a highrise and no car (big taxes on cars) you can have aa great lifestyle.

thinking of looking into doing the MCSA.

anyone have this....does it unlock many opportunities etc...?

cheers

MCSA's are 2 a penny now a days but it's a good start if you have experience as well - ITIL is also a good string to your bow if you're up for for some IT malarkey

Well, I'm not really an expat in terms of well-paid work and an ex-pat community, but the skiing is better than in Dubai! Economically though, there's not much to bring anyone here although teaching wise (which is what I do) it's even more pants in the UK.

Perhaps I should do a year or two in Dubai or HK etc. to top up my savings!

Beer at 7 quid a pint. Yeah sure that's gonna help

And less of the abuse about our skiing as well
