Complete cost of taking bike test?

Can anyone advise how much they think it would cost me to pass the motorbike test if I was to do an intense few days with the test at the end? I know it depends to some degree on how good I am but it would be useful to hear from people who have done it how much it cost them just so I know what to budget for. I already ride an auto scooter daily on a cbt.

About £800 if you pass 1st time

£500-£700 i would have thought, go and speak to an instructor, ask them to asses you and 9/10 they'll be fairly honest. The problem if you've been riding is to try and knock the bad habits out of you.

I did the DAS scheme about 18 months ago for a set cost of £750, which included all test costs and intensive lessons. It would have cost more if I had not passed all the tests first time.

Yeah, get an assessment first. I did my CBT then road a 125 for a year, 1/3 of my time learning for my full license was trying to get my bad riding habits out of me!

Cheers. Courses seem to range form £500 to £700 for 4-6days but I'm guessing these don't include test fees. Stupid question ... how many actual tests do I have to pass? Is it two; one on a smaller cc bike?

If like me you are a complete beginner, you need to do CBT, Theory then the full licence has two tests; one at the test centre doing manoeuvres, then the second one is a road ride.

 

I think I did about 24 hours of lessons spread over two weekends. I passed all the tests first time despite being a complete novice, but I did have 15 years of car driving experience.

 

I now ride a 1000cc BWM.
