Suarez refuse to shake Evra's hand. Has Dalglish gone mental?

Suarez is a fool he could have finished this sorry episode today with a simple hand shake, he chose to re-ignite the issue, & Dalglish has proved with his after match interview that he is just as big a tool as Suarez. Just what he see's in his futile attack on Sky today is totally ridiculous. Evra's celebration was over the top, & somewhat foolish, but you can understand it when he probably went against his own feelings towards Suarez by offering his hand. only to have it thrown back in his face.

Dalglish has been a monumental embarrassment over this whole affair. The way he's defended and defended Suarez to the hilt, even raising that 'he shouldn't have been banned' AGAIN after his comeback last week, and the cringeworthy t'shirts. The Liverpool board should have pulled him in right at the start of this affair, and told him to STFU. You get the impression that he's completely untouchable at Anfield.

Is it any great surprise that they've had two high profile racist incidents in the crowd so far this year. That alone should have made the penny drop with all at Liverpool. Suarez should have been on a 3 line whip to close this down today. Effectively, he has just booked his ticket out of the Premier League. Being cynical, maybe that was the plan.

Evra is a knob, he was at the centre of the French player's "strike" at the last World Cup. If Evra is involved in it you can expect knobbish behaviour.

Agreed, and he would have had more class to have just walked away after the game....but his knobishness pales into insignificance compared to Liverpools and Suarez'

Mountain outta of a mole hill IMO.

So what he didn't shake his hand, is a there a rule to says he has to? Is he racist because he didn't shake his had yet shook welbeck's for example?

They clearly don't like each other so everyone should just accept it an get over it, why make such a huge issue of it? He said has served his punishment for his remarks, which were wrong may I add, but for people are trying to make an issue out of something that really doesn't matter!

Whatever dispute Evra and Suarez may have, and they are both knobs in my view, interesting that the current manc shop steward Ferdinand also refuses to offer his hand to Suarez.

What has it got to do with that bastard to get involved, other than seeing himself as a self proclaimed spokesperson for all black people in the universe ?

Remarkable how Rio gets involved in all these episodes.

I'm not Rio's biggest fan at the best of times but believe this is a tad harsh. He was just standing up for his team-mate and refusing to shake hands with someone found guilty of racial abuse, something I'd find difficult to do as well.

The whole affair is an insult to football in this country by two foreigners known for their lack of intelligence. I cannot believe that Dalgish couldn't have influenced his player to uphold the good name of Liverpool football club in the way Fergie has obviously done with his players before todays game.

I think this is kenny's last managerial role, and he does not seem to give a dam. Bet he could not believe he got the chance to manage Liverpool again.

Liverpool to me have always been a team heaped in tradition, and they are just leaving a sour taste at the moment. Well their manager and a player.

I have watched the video of this over 1,500 times today...... Im still unsure if Evra removes hand or Suarez

I will keep watching and post again when i have more

This reminds me of a thread. While back in a Saints game, was it a shot that hit the bar, but people were saying on here it hit the back of the net. Something strange anyway.

It was Suarez that moved his hand, era defo wanted to as he grabbed him to try and get the handshake.

Just got in and saw this on tv! Did anyone else notice Evra put a little bit of poo on his hand before he held it out? I bet that's why Suarez wouldn't shake!!!! Probably that's why Rio was so dissappointed too because he loves a good merk!!!

I''m still waiting for the comments from his fellow racist, Poyet

Keeping a low profile, needs to get the press on his side for their play-off campaign.

Everybody knows that the side the Sun believes is best will get promoted.

Poyets keeping quiet alright, but more likely because he's sniffing after the spurs job.

imho, of course.

Both players are tools. As in this incident, I support Evra, not that vile racist Suarez.

It`s got nothing to do with Race, Welbeck is black and did Suarez refuse to shake his hand ? NO. Two players do not like one another big friggin deal, It`s as Dalgliesh said a 24hr news channel making a big deal of nothing. Wayne Bridge refused to shake the Chav`s hand after he found out he was banging the Mr`s. And...............................................................

As i see it the media are c%**$

The time for shaking hands is after the game, not before. The pre-match handshake is rubbish in my opinion.

Having said that, Evra let himself and his club down yesterday.

I can't agree with that. He tried to be the bigger man by offering his hand to the man who racially abused him and got snubbed for it. Suarez is by far the bigger tool IMO, and when you take into account his deliberate kick to the stomach on Scott Parker earlier in the week, he is shown up to be an absolute c**t and an embarrassing advertisement for PL football.

They are both tools Bexy, look at the way Evra carried on at the end FFS. THe problem is if you say Evra was acting like a c*ck as well people will accuse you of being racist.

Funny how the fact Ferdinand refused to shake hands with Suarez is just forgotten

Why? Its perfectly acceptable not to shake a hand of a racist, he wasnt going to shake Terrys hand either. Would you shake the hand of someone who racially abused your team mate and then wouldnt shake their hand and someone who racially abused your brother? Ive got a lot of respect for him and for the whole of the QPR side who were going to blank Terry and forced the FA into cancelling the handshakes.

The whole thing is a farce and should be done away with.

Sorry, you are absolutely right. I meant to put Suarez instead of Evra. Apologies.

Well you are indeed correct, neither of them comes out of this with any credit, but personally I think Suarez is the bigger c**t of the two and can't really blame Evra for celebrating the way he did. He who laughs last and all that.

Oh I get ya, Ferdinand is allowed to refuse the shake of hands because he doesn't like Suarez. And of course Suarez only refused because he is a racist, nothing to do with fact he doesn't like evra.

The whole thing is ridiculous, if i didn't wanna shake hands with someone i couldn't give a toss what anyone thought, it's my business, it mazes me that something so small has been made into such a huge issue!

I'm not saying the original racist incident is ok, it isn't, but what's happening at the moment is just a farce.

The whole hand shaking routine is a bit of a farce and a faff if you ask me. I've more respect when it happens informally after the game as it's voluntary and means something. The pathetic routine before the game is just something that needs to be done before the game kicks off and I doubt anyone really takes it seriously. I'd get rid of it.
