Colinjb Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 Is there any? I'm just about to set off from Coventry but I hope it's not a wasted effort.

Colinjb Posted 11 February, 2012 Author Posted 11 February, 2012 No. Announced last night on Solent. That'll do for me, see you guys at St Marys.
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 I would like to add to this that we have a premier league ground, and the club has a premier league mentality. You will not see any games off in the premier league now the skates are not in it!
Shrek Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 I visited the ground on Thursday evening, while it was snowing. There were covers on the pitch (other than the bit being warmed by the slow moving grass growing device thingy, as seen on Saintsplayer). The guide was asked whether we had undersoil heating and he said yes, which I certainly didn't know about
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 I am not sure if this is a myth, but I heard that you are not allowed under soil heating on during a game? Or is this just ******?
Genk Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 I visited the ground on Thursday evening, while it was snowing. The guide was asked whether we had undersoil heating and he said yes, which I certainly didn't know about I thought we have the pipes installed but it doesn't actually work. I heard the St Marys pitch doesn't freeze because it is below sea level or something along those lines.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 Adam Blackmore just tweeted that the frost covers at StMarys work up to around -5. At present the undersoil heating is not being used.

Nellie Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 True, but the starfish are a pain in the arse when you stand on them. You're walking all wrong, champ.
trousers Posted 11 February, 2012 Posted 11 February, 2012 No. Announced last night on Solent. You mean we haven't watered the pitch overnight in the hope of it being called off to avoid unnecessary expense?
