Yea thanks for that! I'm looking for people who worked on it ! Not how it was made!

 

Touchy!

 

As a kid I walked under it when it was being built. Had a look round the yard before leaving school because I was thinking of going into naval architecture.

 

But I didn't work it on so who cares.

I worked on it a bit when it was in the skate dockyard for repairs during the Falklands campaign

Even tried to get one of the name plaques off but couldn't get the c*nts off

oops ! it was shortly after this that our "bubble " burst !

 

I bet that hurt a few feelings in ...P'mouth, having a ship berthed there with our name on it .

Texted my serving naval buddy who says he knows hundreds, awaiting to see if he can thin it down to the eighties

He is infact sat opposite a Lt Commander and a Chief who ask 'what do you want?'

Hi mate

 

What I'm after is members of the hms Soton football team .

 

 

Saints used to donate there old kits to the ships team. I know in the eighties they used saints 1979 strip As an old hms player sold me the number 3

 

Si there must be lots of old players who kept there kit
