Millwall Replay Build-Up Thread

Minsk

Recommended Posts

You don't have a clue. Don't ever reply to one of my posts again.

Sour mash, it literaly disgusts me that you are a fellow saints fan? I assume you are, although you seem to enjoy criticising the club and our fans more than supporting them.

You clearly know less than nothing about the DB situation as shown by the ignorance of your posts, all of which are aggressive rather than containing an argument and I agree entirely with minsk.

I'll also go one better... please save us all reading time and effort by not replying to either mine or minsk posts again?

As for the game, I fancy a strong starting squard, lambert and lee up front, martine and fonte at the back and lallana on the bench, starts for puncheon and holmes maybe? I suspect Hammond will also start.

Well he does go to every game, so if that's not supporting Saints then I'd like to see what is. Also no one is above criticism. Adkins makes mistakes, Cortese makes mistakes, our fans make mistakes. There's nothing wrong with people highlighting them if that's how they feel.

But yeah, it's an internet forum. Not worth taking that seriously really is it?

I'll say it again - if we're blooding youngsters, Reeves will start ahead of the Ward-Prowse. His performance at Millwall more than justifies another start.

I don't even consider Reeves as a 'youngster' he's over 20 and Morgan,Cork and Martin are about 18 months older and have hundreds of first team games on the counter.Reeves is just a fringe player who may or may not make the grade but it probably won't be with us,not if we make the PL.

I would pick this team, if they are fit:

-----------------Bart---------------

Butter------Font----Martin-----Hard

--------------Hammond-----------

----Chaplow----------Reeves------

----------------Guly--------------

-------de Ridder------Lee---------

Sub: KD, Jaidi, Stephens, Puncheon, Lambert, Barnard, Ward-Prowse

Gives us a lot of options to change it round. Guly could move up front with de Ridder moving to one wing and Chaplow on the other of a flatter midfield. Alternatively, Guly could play on one wing and Chaplow on the other of a flatter midfield.

Lallana can have a rest as he seems fairly brittle and Puncheon is just as likely to make an impact if we need another attacking midfielder.

Hopefully Rickie won't be needed but it's worth having him there just in case a late cavalry charge is needed.

I'm assuming Jaidi is fit enough for the bench and Jos isn't.

Martin has played a lot recently but he's young (but not too young) and he hasn't played much over the last two seasons so I don't think there's any need to rest him. I would also expect Jos to be back soon to take over from him. If anything, I would look to rest Fonte for the second half and give Jaidi a run out.

Might be a tough night for Lee - think he needs a player to link up with. Would like to see Lambert start just to see how good Lee is under 'test' conditions.

I would like to see Stephens get a start ahead of Butterfield. This could our best chance to blood him this season.

I would also hope that one of Ward-Prowse or Reeves starts in the middle - not fussed which.

I think it will be a close game but 2-1 to us.

I think Adkins will go for a stronger team than most think. Although the NPC is clearly our main focus we need to get a win under our belts no matter what the competition. We haven't won since the Forest game and i'm sure Adkins will see this and the Burnley game as big stepping stones to the game at Upton Park. Going in with two wins is going to be a lot better for team morale and we will go in with more optimism of taking some points off of them.

Here is what I think:

Reeves has only just turned 20 (just before Christmas). Cork and Martin are about 2 and half years older than him.

I don't know what to think about this game as I'm up for it as long as we turn in a Good performance and win and have the right to play Bolton in Round 5

but we'l see!!!

Am going to go for 2-0 Saints tonight and hopefully Sharp will play and score for Saints but we'l see!!!

Also I think for those who are turning up on the night to get a ticket I think you have to get there for 7 I think as that's what I'm doing!!!

COYR :D!!!

Keep going with it. The only ITK on the board.

Sure be sensible ie no point putting the team for West Ham up tomorrow but this close to the game is surely fine.

Yes, definitely keep going. You're a hero

AL starts,JP and JC have slight knocks and probably wont feature.

Took me an embarrassingly long time to work out that JC is Jack Cork!

Part of Millwall's team has already been released, Mark Wright just tweeted that his brother Josh is playing, he's coming to St Mary's to watch him apparently.

(the facepalm is because you follow Mark Wright on twitter ;))
