Minsk Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 I would like to see some players returning, some getting a run out and something a bit different. Something like this would be great: -------------------------Bart---------------------- Richardson------Fonte------Jaidi-------Harding ------Ward-Prowse--Hammond--Chappers----- ----------------------Guly------------------------ -------------Barnard-------Tadanari------------ Subs: Kelvin, Shaw, Stephens, Martin, Holmes, Reeves, Lambert
trousers Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 (edited) The following starting 11 please Mr Adkins: Bart Shaw Jaidi Fonte Richardson Lallana Lee Hammond Cork Sharp Lambert Edited 5 February, 2012 by trousers
ludgershallsaint Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Lots of important games coming up so 11 who won't be involved vs Burnley. Possible exceptions; Jos, Chaplow & Guly who may need a runout.
Lets B Avenue Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 The following starting 11 please Me Adkins: Bart Shaw Jaidi Fonte Richardson Lallana Lee Hammond Cork Sharp Lambert C'mon, Mr Pants. Surely you are aware that Sharp cant play in this match as he signed after the original tie.
shurlock Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Reeves, Hammond, Guly and Lee will defo start. Hopefully, Chappers isn't too far off.
Jack Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 If Millwall play anywhere near as bad as they did yesterday, this should be fairly straight forward. Bart Butterfield Martin Hooiveld (if fit) Fonte if not Harding Falque Hammond JWP Lallana Barnard Lee Davis, Shaw, Stephens, Cork, Reeves, Guly, Lambert
beatlesaint Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Surely you are aware that Sharp cant play in this match as he signed after the original tie. Bugger, I didnt realise that, I was hoping this would be a good game for him and Rickie to gel.
Saint Charlie Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Bart Stephens Martin Fonte Harding De Ridder Hammond Ward-Prowse/Reeves Chaplow Lee Guly
channonball Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Play the best team! We need a win to breed some confidence!!
LeBenali Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Bart Butterfield Fonte Martin Harding De Ridder Hammond JWP Punch Lambert Lee Subs: Kelv, Shaw, Stephens, Reeves, Chappers, Holmes, Barnard. Would be my choice (which probably means I'm way off...)
Saint-Armstrong Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 If all mentioned are fit, I'd go with. Bialkowski; Butterfield, Fonte, Martin, Harding; De Ridder, Hammond, Ward-Prowse, Holmes; Lee, Barnard. Subs: Davis; Shaw, Richardson, Stephens, Chaplow, Lallana, Lambert.

RonManager Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 An awful lot can be read into that. You might think that Sir, but I couldn't possibly comment.
K,Billy's supersound Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 if fit i'd pick the following team. they should be more than good enough to beat millwall at home imo after watching them play westham. Bart Butterfeild Martin Jaidi Harding Chaplow Hammond Reeves Sdr Guly Lee Dovey, Stephens,Jwp,Holmes,Barnard
Dr Who? Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 We are going to win this game, and beat Bolton. I think we will get to the semi!
Matthew Le God Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 if fit i'd pick the following team. they should be more than good enough to beat millwall at home imo after watching them play westham. tobes8 Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Play the best team! We need a win to breed some confidence!! Totally agree...need to get that winning mentality back again
georgeismyname Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 ----------------------------------Bialkowski----------------------------------- Stephens--------------Jaidi-----------------------Fonte-------------Harding De Ridder-----------Hammond--------------Ward-Prowse-----------Falque ------------------------Guly----------------Tadanari------------------------ Subs: Dovey, Martin, Chaplow, Connolly, Holmes, Reeves, Barnard
Dr Who? Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Totally agree...need to get that winning mentality back again I was saying before that I hope we go out the cup, as we had injuries, but yes need a win at home for sure. If we get dumped out the cup at home that will be 5 games without a win at home! This after going a year without dropping a point. Well nearly, 1 week off!
CWD Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Bart Stephens - Fonte - Martin - Harding Guly - Hammond - JWP - Falque Lambert - Lee Subs: KD, Jaidi, Shaw, SDR, Chaplow, Reeves, Barnard. Looking forward to this, didn't someone mention that there's a chance of a stream being available?
Tom28 Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Bart, Harding, Martin, Jaidi, Shaw, Chaplow, Ward-Prowse, Hammond, de Ridder, Lee, Reeves. Subs: Kelv, Richardson, Fonte, Schneiderlin, Guly, Lallana, Barnard
channonball Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Davies, Harding, Richardson, fonte, jos, lallana, schniedlin, puncheon, guly, lee, lambert Bart, de ridder, jaidi, shaw, prowse, butterfield, chaplow
Saint Fan CaM Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Surely we've got enough senior members that need match time before dipping into the youth squad? Need to put some physicallity and pace against Millwall - be in their faces for 90mins to assure a passage through to the next round. Otherwise we'll get caught out with needless passes sideways and backwards. If the right team is chosen, we can win this 3-0 or 3-1. If Nigel gets it wrong we're looking at going one down early-ish doors and Millwall shutting up shop, faking injury and frustrating us.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 chappers and lee will both start http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2600954,00.html? OS says sharp may play some part! i thought he wasn't legible as he wasnt signed in time for previous game?
Window Cleaner Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Bart Stephens - Fonte - Martin - Harding Guly - Hammond - JWP - Falque Lambert - Lee Subs: KD, Jaidi, Shaw, SDR, Chaplow, Reeves, Barnard. Looking forward to this, didn't someone mention that there's a chance of a stream being available? For about the 115th time...Falque is cup tied.
trousers Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 For about the 115th time...Falque is cup tied. In other words, Falque off?

I wonder why Adkins has decided to break his personal "never let the opponents know who's fit" rule for this tie?
dubai_phil Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Bart Stephens - Fonte - Martin - Harding Guly - Hammond - JWP - Falque Lambert - Lee Subs: KD, Jaidi, Shaw, SDR, Chaplow, Reeves, Barnard. Looking forward to this, didn't someone mention that there's a chance of a stream being available? Unlikely Was originally listed as being shown here on al Jazeera, but they now showing the Sheff Wed replay instead so no. But FWIW as it is FA Cup & not League that means that Radio Solent can be listened to on the internet rather than Saints Player in UK. For those abroad with the radio tuner App & WiFi/3G you should be able to listen to the game on iPad or other Smartphone type stuff. For those abroad with neither Saints Player nor Smartphones - tough. .......Bart........... Butterfield..Fonte..Jaidi...Harding Chaplow..JWP..Hammond...Reeves ....Lambert...Lee... Fonte coming back from an injury layoff, I like to take the opportunity to see how RL & Lee gel. Subs KD, Stephens, Martin/Jos(if fit), Barnard, Guly, SDR, Morgan

OS says sharp may play some part! i thought he wasn't legible as he wasnt signed in time for previous game? There is no date that a player needs to be signed by. But players can be cup-tied. I guess Sharp didn't play for Donny in a previous round then? Great news about Chappers and Lee starting. I forgot all about SDR in my original post so will need a rethink.
Nexstar Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 There is no date that a player needs to be signed by. But players can be cup-tied. I guess Sharp didn't play for Donny in a previous round then? Great news about Chappers and Lee starting. I forgot all about SDR in my original post so will need a rethink. I was led to believe that the rules states Sharp would have had to have signed for Saints in time for the original game against Millwall. Really looking forward to how Lee and Chaplow get on

Window Cleaner Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Have just read the article and can't see where they say that Sharp may play tomorrow....? Seems it's been changed, unless it's not the same article.

OS says sharp may play some part! i thought he wasn't legible as he wasnt signed in time for previous game? He wasn't. Try reading it again. It dosen't say Sharp will play tomorrow. It refers to him getting playing time at Brum.
shurlock Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 He wasn't. Try reading it again. It dosen't say Sharp will play tomorrow. It refers to him getting playing time at Brum. Its been edited - initially said "another player who should/might feature tmrw is Sharp" or something along those lines.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Have just read the article and can't see where they say that Sharp may play tomorrow....? they have since edited the article and removed that part. that will answer the question whether or not he is eligible for game.
disconnect Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Millwall were awful on Saturday - if they play anything like that, it wont matter what team we put out!
Minsk Posted 6 February, 2012 Author Posted 6 February, 2012 I was led to believe that the rules states Sharp would have had to have signed for Saints in time for the original game against Millwall. Really looking forward to how Lee and Chaplow get on You could be correct, a new one to me if so. Sharp deffinitely is not cup-tied. He wasn't even in the squad for Donny in the 3rd round (which they lost 0-2 against Notts County).
CWD Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 For about the 115th time...Falque is cup tied. Ah yes I forgot! Likely to be different now anyway seeing as NA confirmed that Chaplow will start, so I guess out midfield will be something like: SDR - Hammond - Chaplow - Reeves
georgeismyname Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 ---------------------------------------------------Bialkowski---------------------------------------------- Stephens---------------------------Jaidi------------------------Hooiveld-------------------------Harding De Ridder----------------------Ward-Prowse-----------------Hammond------------------------Chaplow ----------------------------------Tadanari---------------------Lambert------------------------------------ Subs: Dovey, Fonte, Butterfield, Holmes, Reeves, Barnard, Guly,
trousers Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 they have since edited the article and removed that part. that will answer the question whether or not he is eligible for game. Hmmm, I wonder if that was Nigel's 'mistake' or the press office? (I would imagine Nigel would tip off the latter about player availability before the match build up article goes up on the OS?)
merrimd Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Sharp will not play. Only players who where elligible for the original game can play in the replay with the exception of players that have served a suspension. Neither he nor Keogh for millwall can play. He will be elligible to play against Bolton, should we do the business tomorrow.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Is "Totonoeyo" Japanese for ? I think it may be a mistranslation for totemo ii yo meaning very good. I think he is trying to say he is in very good physical condition but the translation software failed a little as always or possible his spelling was a bit off. All my guess of-course, no inside knowledge of what goes on in his bathroom.
S-Clarke Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Cannot see Sharp playing, think the OS have got that wrong. The rule the FA impose is a fair one, as a team could take someone to a replay, sign 8 new players and then win the replay in totally distorted terms. It's only fair that the replay is contested with players that were available in the original tie. Even playing field and all that.
