dune Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Great numbers and very loud support. Our support has been sh/t lately so it was good to see.
Ewell Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Agreed, although it does help when they sitck a Mic near the away end. I hope everyone got home safely which is much more important than a game of football.
dronskisaint Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Seconded....was going but life got in the way
ItchenRob Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 I live near Gatwick. Got in at at 5 this morning following a succession of public transport nightmares. My mother and wife have banned me from going again. I am 51.
StDunko Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Yes, well done all. I hope your toes have now defrosted etc.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 it was good yesterday cos everyone stood and it was so cold it was better to sing and get an atmosphere going to keep warm.long may it continue.coys
Ziggy Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 How many chins has bottom right hand corner got?
pingwing Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Birmingham is always a fun place for a day out! Shame about the game and the home support but it's still a place I like to go (any of the teams at that)
Leicestersaint Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Deeply impressed by all who went, stood in the snow and made such a good sound - true fans!!
red&white56 Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 I live near Gatwick. Got in at at 5 this morning following a succession of public transport nightmares. My mother and wife have banned me from going again. I am 51. Itchen Rob - I also live near Gatwick (south of Crawley, just of the A25). I got in at 05.30 so tell your missus that you weren't alone ! For me it was a painful trip home but I had a few good beers in Brum and saw Saints play well - so all in all it was worth it!
Dan Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Was quite impressed with our support yesterday. Maybe the fans saying our support looked good on the telly should make a bit more of an effort to go rather than just rely on everyone else. Anyway, roll on West Ham!

We can't all be perfect like you.
Elias Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 It was certainly one of the best displays from our lot this season. Glad I was one of the maniacs who went. Home support was awful.
View From The Top Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Was quite impressed with our support yesterday. Maybe the fans saying our support looked good on the telly should make a bit more of an effort to go rather than just rely on everyone else. Anyway, roll on West Ham! As much as I love an away game and despite St Andrews being 30miles south of me, there was no way I was going to battle home after that game when Sky was an option. It's called being sensible.
CFSFC Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Good atmosphere.. And a good day out, One sticky point was how quick we sang. Role on valentines day with my true love.
South City Si Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Wasn't too bad travelling as stayed in Stratford. Home support woeful, small snow ball fight at end over the fence was the best their fans got!
Griffo Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Was a good day out. Appreciation for everyone else there too, apart from the c*nts that tried to get that awful foreign/Palace song "We love you" going. Bore off, please.
Orange Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Well done lads, well overdue. Got behind 'em right down to the final whistle, creating a great atmosphere. Now lets keep it up.
South City Si Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 PS liked the "Redknapp going down cos hes got the money in the bank!" chant.
saintmatt Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Was a good day out. Appreciation for everyone else there too, apart from the c*nts that tried to get that awful foreign/Palace song "We love you" going. Bore off, please. What are the words to that?? Only managed to catch parts of it!
Griffo Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 What are the words to that?? Only managed to catch parts of it! There is absolutely no need for you to ever find out. Just forget about it.
Lazlo78 Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Top effort by those who went. Made us from the keyboard brigade proud!
dune Posted 5 February, 2012 Author Posted 5 February, 2012 There is absolutely no need for you to ever find out. Just forget about it. Go on, we might like it.
Saint Garrett Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 I dont think we should sing that tbh, It was a crap song. I only got we love it oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....yawn, The right hand side yesterday seemed to want to sing at a million miles an hour yesterday while the rest actually sang all together.
Daren W Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 PS liked the "Redknapp going down cos hes got the money in the bank!" chant. Reknapp's going down with his money in a bag...
Sour Mash Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 What are the words to that?? Only managed to catch parts of it! An utterly s**t song that we should never sing and those stood around my lot were told in no uncertain terms. Who the f**k wants to be last onto a bandwagon started by Crystal Palace supporters?
JRM Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 I thought the support looked and sounded excellent, well done to everyone who was there, definitely the sort of game / trip that will be talked about for years.
scotty Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Yep, fair play to all the fans who made what must have turned out to be an awful journey and stood in a blizzard in birmingham for two hours. The support sounded great, better than the brum fans, I guess it was easier for them to decide to give it a miss as they wouldnt have forked out for transport or made the 4 hour+ trip already.
