Happy with a point, disappointed with the lack of shots, but if you'd offered me second place at the start of the day, I'd have taken it happily. Excellent game from Martin, he's filled in brilliantly, thought everyone else did about as well as they could in the conditions. Silly red, but no idea why Fox bothered to put his arm out to push Burke, was a needless foul, though never a yellow. Still, I'm happy - bring on the next game! Also, let's ignore that debut from Sharpe and wait till we see him in an actual game of football...

Outrageous red card, can't even appeal it
how on earth is the first a yellow. Brilliant tackle. The second is a minor touch. He may have denied a slight crossing chance, but never a yellow. He didn't overly contest it. I'd of been going mental if I'd gone for those two decisions, then Dowd totally bottles a cynical professional foul at the other end. Dowd is a very poor ref in my book. The game usually flows, but he gets so many of the really big decisions wrong.

Which gives even more argument to my opinion that having pop shots would have been better than trying to walk the ball into the net. We controlled the majority of that game, and done nothing with it.

Please can yo keep your negative views off the forum.

Can't get my head over the sendin off! And I honestly think the 1st challenge was a great tackle with one foot. And for the 2nd il just have to laugh it off! Joke..... And for the result im happy and thought we played well at times, and remember we played a very good on form team!

Pitch did not meet criteria for the game to be played as the ball was not bouncing and running true. However we could have won it but for dreadful performances by Fox and Richardson - the ones who had all the time and space to cross the ball and had to wait to be closed down first and Lallana was just terrible - flicking the ball when a solid kick or pass was needed. As for the decision of Ricky to cross the ball at the free kick instead of giving it a welly with a greasy ball and treacherous pitch for the keeper. Oh well one point we move on.

Please don't go on about the whole 'no shots on target' talk. The conditions were unplayable. Had it not been live on Sky, that game would have been postponed.

We got a point away to a team that are flying on current form AND unbeaten at home.

Take the draw, and move on to the next one.

Happy with the point against the in-form team of the League, but :

We were always second to the ball.

Brum looked more aggressive and more hungry.

We are still trying to walk the ball into the net

Fox, imho, looked off the pace all afternoon and not suprised he ended up getting a red card.

In fairness, Richardson was not much better either.

Puncheon looks good

I dont understand Schneiderlin getting the nod over Hammond.

Good result, played well in the conditions. Joke of a red card but it happens. We have fantastic back up in Harding (actually prefer him to Fox) so no biggy. Shame we had no shots but thought we were decent and would have taken the point before the game.

Done on to the next one.

Super point tonight. Would have taken that in good conditions let alone in the snow. Fox's 2nd yellow is a woeful decision and a good job he only misses Millwall where I assume Harding will come in. Little surprised Lambert didn't fire one at goal from the freekick at the death but all in all chuffed tonight. Table still looks pretty tidy.

Would have taken a point before hand, but we were so in control that we should have got 3. Why are our players so afraid to take a shot? Red card was very harsh, though the first yellow could have so easily been a red (although it would have been totally wrong). Shame some of our players disappeared, Lallana and Cork were completely invisible 2nd half, Punch was OK but clearly not fully match fit yet. Apart from Sharp not taking his chance not sure he touched the ball.

Still, in the end the result was Weather 1 Football 0

Can't say I agree with any of that except the Puncheon one.

Going to be very close at the end of the season, West Ham have been riding their luck big time in the last few games.

Beat the skates with a penalty

Beat Forest with 2 penalties

Got battered by Ipswich

Beat Millwall with a goal that I still can't believe was given.

My neighbour is a West Ham supporter and he says Faubert is going to switch codes and becone a rugby player. I only expect the ref to get the easy ones right - sigh

'The unluckiest man to get a red card in football history' - Peter Beagrie

And I fully agree with him.

Not one of those yellows should have been given.

We plated well and dominated most of play, just couldn't do anything in final third.

Kelvin was our MoM, IMO.

We played to the conditions, it wasn't pretty, but we were effective.

I thought Schneiderlin settled down very well after a dodgy first few mins- won plenty of tackles and headers. Strange you think Brum were hungrier and always first to the 2nd ball. I must have been watching a different game.

Anyway good point - Brum will be more disappointed as the in-form team and having created more chances.

Fox misses the Millwall game which he probably wouldnt have played.

Game of opinions, but i thought Morgan was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Put his foot in, intercepted all day long and was one of the few players on the pitch who looked comfortable passing the ball. I can't quite believe you thought they were hungrier than us considering we controlled 90% of the game.

The pitch was unplayable. The ball wasn't bouncing true nor was it rolling true. I think it's a bit of a shambles the game went ahead

Bit of luck came our way when the officials missed a obvious pen when Fox upended a Brum player in the box, but we may have been due some good fortune.

A Dull game in the main but not a bad away point against this divisions in-form team I suppose. Keep this under your collective hats chaps, but I reckon the last two games where we have proved to be a match for strong opposition might just indicate that although we are still short of our best form we may - just may - have turned the corner performance wise.

As ever time will tell.

I think it is very difficult to analyse form etc when the conditions were like that tbh. It is credit to our team that we managed to get the ball down and pass when we did.

Exactly, was impressed with that performance but not 100% sure how good it would have been under normal conditions. Southampton were playing the football, Birmingham never really got to grips. Fox deserved his second yellow for pushing the player away with his hand, use your shoulder and he could have done that all day without getting pinged. Thought the ref was good in making allowances for the conditions. Guly had the right idea when he came on, charging at the defence in those conditions.

Agrre with everything except not being first to the ball, thought we dominated with the ball for the most part, granted we faded towards the end.

We are still trying to walk the ball into the net Not always, but sometimes

Fox, imho, looked off the pace all afternoon and not suprised he ended up getting a red card. Fox played well and should not have ot 1 tellow yet alone 2

In fairness, Richardson was not much better either. Fox was better

Puncheon looks good - Yes, he does

I dont understand Schneiderlin getting the nod over Hammond. I, like you, have not seen enough of either to mae this call (but was at Leceister game)
