St Landrew Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 You'll be needing all our addresses to send us flowers. Particularly as I'm thinking of being very offended by this motorway closure, as I'm sure everyone else is.

CabbageFace Posted 4 November, 2008 Author Posted 4 November, 2008 CF, is there a decent website that lists all these sorts of closures in advance, including m25, a34, m4 etc etc? The Highway Agency's one should, but i cant find it on there! I only know about this one as im going out there!
CabbageFace Posted 4 November, 2008 Author Posted 4 November, 2008 Unfortantly also i dont do Highways work anymore, im working on these gantries atm, as i said this is the last one to go up on the M27. Then it will all nearly be ready to be opened next year and traffic chaos can resume! Im doing stuff on the M25 and Birmingham Box atm. Exciting times.

CabbageFace Posted 4 November, 2008 Author Posted 4 November, 2008 I expect it to be closed until 7am then There is already a 2 hour buffer zone for things to go wrong anyway. They would be killed if it ran over.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 They would be killed if it ran over. Good, Its about time that we implemented harsher penalty clauses for motorway contractors ! Do they all get killed or just the foreman ? What method is used to kill ?

Jillyanne Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 What machinery is used for the act of running over ? Tank.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 Never seen a tank being used by a motorway contractor
Jillyanne Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 Never seen a tank being used by a motorway contractor They don't use them, the local authorities do, they run the contractors over if they run over.
CabbageFace Posted 5 November, 2008 Author Posted 5 November, 2008 It was really good, cold, took them about 2 and half hours to erect, its so much bigger than i imagined, if you care its the one by the Services (rownhams) they erected last night. It was strange driving the wrong way up the motorway and being stood on it and stuff.
