CWD Posted 2 February, 2012 Share Posted 2 February, 2012 Apparently Crewe attempted to take Jack Saville on loan but were beaten by the deadline: http://www.football-league.co.uk/league2/news/20120202/crewe-miss-out-on-saints-defender_2293326_2597523 Just wondering whether this was purely a case of running out of time, or if perhaps NA sees him as the cover we need at CB? I haven't seen the lad play and know nothing about him, so was wondering what people thought of him? How did he do at Barnet? Could he make the 1st team anytime soon? Monk Posted 2 February, 2012 Share Posted 2 February, 2012 I think he will come back to bite us on the backside. He'll be a Championship player in 3/4 years.
Colinjb Posted 2 February, 2012 Share Posted 2 February, 2012 The best of luck to him, a shame he couldn't make the breakthrough here. He has found a place where he can develop by playing first team football and who would begrudge him that.

Monk Posted 2 February, 2012 Share Posted 2 February, 2012 I hope we're not in the championship in 3/4 years for him to bite us. I don't mean he will score, I just mean in a Mike Williamson and Matt Mill (nearly) kind of way.

pingwing Posted 2 February, 2012 Share Posted 2 February, 2012 Good luck to him, a Barnet fan was telling me about this one a few months ago that he had settled in really well and the chairman had a few very productive meetings with our chairman on how to get him at the club permanently. Model example of how to do business with us by treating all parties as grown adults that can always be reasoned with

Winds me up people talking about Monk,Williamson and others playing in prem or Championship, were they anywhere near the 1st team when we let them go? No. Anyway good luck to Jack hope all goes well for him.
SuperMikey Posted 2 February, 2012 Share Posted 2 February, 2012 Decent lad, we got him on a free after he was released by Chelsea at 16 I seem to remember. Always good to see young players doing well, good luck to him.
