Petersfield Saint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Great stuff! Can we borrow back one of our old Harriers to do it this time round?
Lighthouse Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Awesome stuff. Such a shame that it's pretty much the end of your career if you try something like that in any aircraft.
Dimond Geezer Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Wow. Brilliant stuff, but can you imagine the carnage if something had gone wrong.

OK, his flying career was over, but they discharged him on medical grounds, meaning he kept all his dues. Presumably it would have drawn attention to the government and a defence policy that couldnt stand up to scrutiny if they court martialled him. When his case was heard, finally 14 yrs later, he was partially exonerated !! Did the trbiunal listening to that agree Wilson and Sandys were prats ? (not much argument from me...) In present times, the time to have done this was definitely the Harrier's last flight last year. Most of those pilots are probably out of the RAF now anyway. Edited 2 February, 2012 by alpine_saint
mickn Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Would have been far more impressive if he had managed to fly under the road
