Clapham Saint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Will you accept 20p* in the £ over 5 years? *after costs
Torres Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Yes but admin/mods have to be a little careful handing out addresses and private info so don't expect too much from them. Tell that to the toy salesman!
Jillyanne Posted 2 February, 2012 Author Posted 2 February, 2012 We did a 6,000 mile, 13 country tour of Europe the year before last, but by car not train (there were six of us). The top places we visited were Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania. Ljubljana at the three bridges at night is just fantastic. Romanian Transylvania and the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are also out of this world. And your e-mail pleading poverty was dated May 2010.
Raging Bull Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 It'll be quite unlikely that if you take him to court you'll have any joy. As a landlord myself I've had to go before the courts over unpaid rents totalling an awful lot more than £500. You'll have to prove that even if like me you're entitled to the money that you effectively should have it because whoever precides over the case will take every single aspect into account. Plus it'll cos more in time, money, stress and hassle that the original amount so IMO you should suck it up and move on. Would be quite entertaining if you carried on baiting him on here though.
Dog Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Jill, I'd stop right now, or you may be the one defending yourself in court.
Dog Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Why don't we all have a judge julie thread. This needs a poll, Mods??
Mr Tickle Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Jill I don't think you will ever see the cash. For five hundred squid you will pay most of that to a legal person. Agree 100% the bloke is a total low life! As a father myself to lie to your kids is just so wrong! Total *****! I really really hope the mods/owners of this site allow this post to run as word will get out And before long his own people will no what a tosser he is! Best of luck. Moto of the day...."never give away your pussy for free." (jerry springer moment!)
Saint-scooby Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I guess you feel better by airing your grievance, but it may not help you in the long run, debt is a funny ole thing.
angelman Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Tell that to the toy salesman! ahhh yes. Well I think that a certain person acknowledged that that was a wee bit of a mistake and went back and tidied it up. Bit late as the cat was out of the bag.
angelman Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 and can you get a solicitor for less than £500? Bingo. And don't bother about small claims court, unless you know where he lives on a permanent basis. I served a notice on someone, incurring an extra cost of about £30-35, and they failed to serve it because they couldn't find the person.
Dog Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Anyone who pays 500 quid for a cat is bonkers. Anyone who charges 500 quid for a cat is bonkers. Most cats are free, a fiver at most, so fair play to the man, but do the decent thing and slip a fiver or tenner in the post just to shut her up! £500 for a manky cat, that craps in your garden and sprays **** all over your furniture, bargain!
stevegrant Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 For the record, this issue had nothing to do with the change in admins/moderators. Not my business to intervene, it's a private matter between Jill and DSM.
Minty Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 ... it's a private matter between Jill and DSM. Seems like it's anything BUT private...
dune Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 For the record, this issue had nothing to do with the change in admins/moderators. Not my business to intervene, it's a private matter between Jill and DSM. I did hear though that you wanted rid of him and that the other mods were got rid of just so it didn't look like you were singling him out. Ponty was alright so I found this to be pretty gutless.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Out of interest;would the income from cat sales be taxable in the UK ?
stevegrant Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I did hear though that you wanted rid of him and that the other mods were got rid of just so it didn't look like you were singling him out. Ponty was alright so I found this to be pretty gutless. Where did you hear that? The voices in your head? If we wanted to get rid of an individual, we'd do so, it's no big deal.
dune Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Where did you hear that? The voices in your head? If we wanted to get rid of an individual, we'd do so, it's no big deal. I am ITK.
Hatch Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Kiera Knightly to play Jill in the film. Tommy Lee Jones to play DSM Al Pacino to play Granty Jim Carey to play the role of both cats.
View From The Top Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I still in 'kin shock at the thought of any simpleton wanting to spend that much on a 'kin cat!
Window Cleaner Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I still in 'kin shock at the thought of any simpleton wanting to spend that much on a 'kin cat! Well to be fair to him it looks like he kind of didn't.
dune Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I still in 'kin shock at the thought of any simpleton wanting to spend that much on a 'kin cat! I agree, but it's poor form to receive goods and not pay for them, especially when you're a big bloke doing it to a woman.
View From The Top Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I agree, but it's poor form to receive goods and not pay for them, especially when you're a big bloke doing it to a woman. Totally, but £500 for a 'kin moggy!
norwaysaint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I haven't read the details so not sure what kind of solicitor you need, but if I recall correctly there was a poster on here called Dark Sotonic Mills who worked in that kind of thing. He also had a medical background so was a pretty decent chap by all accounts. Might not be his area but could be worth dropping him a PM?
Minty Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Totally, but £500 for a 'kin moggy! I hate to tell you but that's nothing compared to some pedigree animals. And there's plenty of other stuff in life that is WAY more expensive, yet less useful (I know, a cat isn't useful as such...).
Lighthouse Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I suggest taking the law into your own hands Jill. Go around to his house and either steal the cats back or take garden furnature of similar value as a hostage. Seriously, trying to do this through the courts will cause a lot more grief and expense than £500.
Jonnyboy Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Totally, but £500 for a 'kin moggy! Thought it was for 2?
Jillyanne Posted 2 February, 2012 Author Posted 2 February, 2012 It was for 2 kittens and if knew his current address I would go round and take garden furniture et sl.
Jonnyboy Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Come on team, someone must be able to track him down??
Glasgow_Saint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I have just removed DSM as one of my SWF friends
Glasgow_Saint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Come on team, someone must be able to track him down?? Post his user name on the brighton forum they will find him!!!
Hatch Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 I have just removed DSM as one of my SWF friends you bastard... a bit extreme
Glasgow_Saint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 you bastard... a bit extreme I am looking for a new friend...... Please pm me with application.
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Hmm 500 quid is f*cking mental, but still, taking someone for a ride just aint on, that said I dont think you'll get any joy through the courts. Normally Id say its only 500 quid but then its the principle.
Jillyanne Posted 2 February, 2012 Author Posted 2 February, 2012 I know full well I won't get the cash back as he is a sad man with no morals, however I do hope he reads this thread and at least acknowledges his lies, especially about pleading poverty and having two blind kids and a dying mother yet trekking off round Europe!!!
buctootim Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Post his user name on the brighton forum they will find him!!! Im only about 5 miles from Brighton. Whats his name? There are loads of ways to get even with people. Destroying their credit history is one of the best. Sugar in the petrol tank and iron filings in the gearbox another.

Jillyanne Posted 2 February, 2012 Author Posted 2 February, 2012 Hmm tempting but posting his full name may result in a perm ban for me!
hypochondriac Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 Hmm tempting but posting his full name may result in a perm ban for me! No chance. Do it.
washsaint Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 what a saddo....carrying out a vendetta on a poxy Internet message board (even if it is kind of amusing in a train wreck kind of way).
buctootim Posted 2 February, 2012 Posted 2 February, 2012 what a saddo....carrying out a vendetta on a poxy Internet message board (even if it is kind of amusing in a train wreck kind of way). Bit of natural justice imo, since the original deal to buy was struck here.
Jillyanne Posted 2 February, 2012 Author Posted 2 February, 2012 No way, as much as I would love to, I respect Steve grant and his rules which I believe I have followed very clearly yet cleverly. However if anyone should pm me asking for his real name, well, I can only oblige.

Either that or washing cars, walking ferrets, or plumbing in washing machines for old dears.
