Saintsweb using hacking computers

After the game I updated Malaware Anti Malware that I don't use often. I did a scan and was shocked to find the names and emails of a Saintsweb forum user and the guy over at the former MyP2P site as having made several attempts to access my computer in the past week. I'm rather shocked as I've not been in contact with either for a long while except the Saintsweb user in the past 2 weeks on here.

I shall be keeping a watch out but would appreciate if anyone else has any information of a similar thing happening to them.

I did notice the forum was unusually slow on my laptop this evening and that it showed pages loading from an odd sounding domain name (which I can't remember the name of now - DN appeared on the status bar at the bottom left corner of the screen)

Probably not related to your issue but thought it might be worth s mention in passing

If either of you get a warning again, can you please do the following (assuming you're slightly tech savvy)

View page as source.

Save page as an html file

Email me the html file (hscbaj@hotmail.com) and I can look into it.

I expect that was from a thread with a hotlinked image (i.e. an image hosted elsewhere but displayed on the thread), obviously we've got no control over the speed those files can be displayed.

I've just run a virus/malware scan on the server and there's nothing there. ART, you've had these problems in the past (strangely not replicated by anybody else), have you looked to see whether you've got malware on your PC? Using any sort of P2P software has its inherent risks, none of which are linked to SaintsWeb as we don't use it.

Ah, cool. Yep, that would explain what I was seeing. Cheers

I was not inferring that Saintsweb has anything to do with this but post game Malaware scan came up with a Saintsweb members name and email as making hacking attempts to my computer. In the past I exchanged emails and messages with this particular member and then no contact until recently. I am keeping tabs and have increased my firewall settings. It's the first time Malaware has come up with something of this kind and is the reason I've always regretted buying the Pro version. I have always suspected P2P programs or their inventors as being a possible hacking threat.

Sorry, but this is impossible. [/color]

If he's exchanged emails with someone in the past, and that persons account has been hijacked by malware on their system to send spam/emails containing malware, I think that might be the most likely explanation.

The fact that they're a Saintsweb user would be mere coincidence.

As I have mentioned privately to Baj I made a typo error in the Title which should have read Saintsweb User hacking computers.

With Baj's help we have established that Malware Pro obviously sees old MSN contact information as a Trojan Banker. We all know MSN users plants on one's computer to let you and contacts know when one is online etc.. Obviously Malware Pro believes this to be a still active trojan and if the contact is still active sees their logging on as activating this MSN plant.

I posted thru genuine concern for decent Saintsweb members. If some see it as a means to harass, bully me or make something nasty out of my good intentions as in the past I shall have to take other action which nowadays are open to internet users.
