"Cardiff will be delighted with a point especially after the battering they got in the second half"

"We had three stone wall penalties"

"Any more signings? Yep, Tevez is upstairs"

"Guly has a thigh strain and a cold"

"Chaplow coming back. Jos within a week away"

Doesn't deny they tried to get another CB in

Adkins: Even game. debatable goal. Changed shape then dominated. second half on front foot, played well.

First half, certain pen. One we scored from also certain.

'Keeper made wonderful save to earn Cardiff a point.

Back to where we have been this season.

Punch had a good game, sounded gutted for lee that he didn't score. Lee is showing the right attitude.

Good point, just 2 behind.

We wanted to win, kept on front foot, we had a lot of players going forward. Should have had a few more shots. Adam realised but took it to heart from too far out.

Pleased with second half.

Coming from behind at home not a concern, just a reality as we want to take games to our opponents. Great cross from lallana to lambo in first half.

Take positives: Great reaction and intensity.

Tough game as Cardiff have been playing well, expects them to be delighted after their battering in second half.

Hopes we get some 'fortune' in the future.

No comment on last minute transfers, wanted to focus on game.

Guly has a thigh strain and cold. Scan tomorrow. Not expecting long lay off. Chaplow is back soon. Jos a week away. delighted with strong squad.

In position to bring in another defender, was coy with names.

Asked about the excitement of Lambo and Sharp playing together, deflected question and focused on the posibilities of all attacking squad members.

first one was as clear a penalty as you will ever see and red card, lallana's should have been a corner, and the one given was never harsh as stated on sky sports, they should also have had a penalty late on but as they should have played 75% of the game with 10 and 1 down i dont care!

Would there be much chance of repercussions for that refs awful

Performance? He should get a suspension for that shocking refereeing

He said Carlos Tevez was upstairs about to sign. Not seen anything about that as yet.

If Cortese won't sanction his 150K per week wages, then I think it's time to ask serious questions about our chairman's expectations for this season. We can't get promoted unless we stump up the cash for the likes of Tevez. I think NA has made it clear this is type of player we want on the bus, and if Cortese balls up another transfer over a few quid then we can forget about the great start to the season FFS. We will be lucky to even secure 18th, let alone 17th place. It's obvious the board has no money to spend, and the club is obviously for sale, FACT. I fear for our club and think we could lose Fonte, Lambert and Lallana before the window closes in a minute. Also its all over twitter that Adkins has stormed out of the club over this and has just been spotted at Fratton Park.

probably. ;)

There are some very capable, knowledgeable and experienced managers in this league. Chris Hughton, Ian Holloway, Derek McInnes, Malky Mackay, Paul Jewell, Sam Allardyce, Tony Mowbray, Nigel Pearson.........to name a few.

Nigel Adkins is holding his own with the best of them by showing he can recruit good players to the club (Cork, Hooiveld, Sharp, Lee) and he can adapt his side during a game by changing the tactics or moving the players around. For me, he Walks the Walk.

What he does not do is Talk the Talk. Very rarely do I feel more confident after an Adkins' interview than before it. At the Lee press conference he was asked about systems the team plays and dismissed the question saying its just called football and we're not interested in systems, and yet he plays intelligent systems all the time and adapting the shape of the side as he did against Cardiff.

Immediately after a game., especially if its not been won, is not a time to expect a manager to say much of import anyway, so last night's interview was not one to judge him on, but it would be nice if some of his other interviews could be more incisive, more technical about the game and without the repetition of his favourite cliches, and maybe, just maybe, with less of the smiles and a bit more seriousness. Come on Nigel, You Can Do It!

I think NA is more than capable of giving a "good" interview, but I believe he likes to keep his cards close to his chest. I'm not really bothered about what he has, or has not, said. As far as I'm concerned it's what happens on the pitch that is the important thing.

You are absolutely right DG that the interviews have no bearing at all on the team performance. Walking the Walk is what matters as the rest is just for public consumption but as we can see from the forum and how often Adkins' comments are the subject of a discussion thread, there is a lot of interest in what he says, whether it matters or not.

I used to think that he spoke from the bible of middle management...lot of platitudes and cliches but he's far brighter than that.

He's actually a master of saying as little or as much as he wants in a cheerful, inoffensive and personable manner so that the interviewer doesn't feel slighted yet gets a whole bunch of usable quotations. He knows exactly what he's doing!

He kept referring to Lee as "Cheung".

Mentioned the loan window when pressed about CBs.

OK - Wiki:

Lee was born to third generation Zainichi Korean parents in Tanashi (present: Ni****okyo), Tokyo. His Korean name is Lee Chung-Sung (Korean: 이충성, Hanja: 李 忠成) and also had used pass name Tadanari Ōyama (大山 忠成, Ōyama Tadanari?).[1] His father was also a footballer, who played for Yokohama Tristar FC in the Japan Soccer League.

So I guess we should refer to him as Chung from now on, as Nigel does?!
