Lambert?!

Dont shoot the messenger, I do not know how reliable this is or even if it is wind up. If someone who has Twitter could validate it, it would be appreciated...

One of my mates on the book of Face has just posted that he has seen a Tweet from the Son of the West Ham owers that claims they are signing the championship top scorer tomorrow!?

I am right in thinking that is Lambert isnt it? I am hoping there is another Championship and this Tweet if true is referring to a Championship in another country or is just a made up Tweet.

Like I said, I have no clue if this is true and would appreciate if someone can check it out if they have Twitter, maybe 'Tweet' the person back to do some digging? I am sure we wouldnt having just signed a top striker let Lambert go and I am sure it is a wind up or mix up but still thought I would share...

If they couldn't afford Jelavic (6m+) then they cannot afford Lambert.

And I'm pretty sure NC would refuse any offers from any team in this league. We'd be handing the title to WHU otherwise, and I know NC wants us to win the league. We don't need the money so I think you can safely dismiss that as total tosh.

Right so just to be clear....

Your mate, saw a tweet from someone who might be the son of the West Ham owner (who by the way only has daughters) saying that Lambert was going to them.

Horse, cow..... Nah it's bull

Ps. He has sons... But that's only to show how easy it is to make crap up

It Jack Sullivan, who is the son of David Sullivan and this is his genuine twitter account.

It won't be Lambert. By "top Championship scorer" he means someone in the top scorers list, probably Vaz Te or perhaps McCormack.

The kid is young and worded it poorly. No need for this thread, so a mod should close or delete it.

Sounds ridiculous at first glance, but there is this little voice at the back of my head wondering what NC and NA did to attract Sharp when he turned down Leicester, and more to the point, WHY they suddenly did it.........

Well they suddenly did it because we need a proven scroer at this level to play alongside Rickie. Lee will not aclimatise straight away. I firmly believe that Lee is a signing more for next season than this. Just think about how long De Ridder was given to bed into the squad and the style of play in England. And he played in Europe, not the J league.

Put that little voice to bed, its evil and will hurt you ;-)

They've been linked with Maynard again I believe.

Can you answer WHAT and WHY, then ??
"What" - the chance to hugely increase his pay packet and play for a big club, as well as coaching staff he knows and trusts - why, so we've got extra options in our strike force in the form of a proven championship goalscorer.

Thimples.

Not so sure about that. It's clear we've wanted him since the summer. I'd say the most likely thing that's changed is we were out-priced for Hooper.

You are probably right, and it seems Billy has just explained his position on Talksport (wanted us to come back in for him).

My theory is that we decided to break the wage structure for Hooper, and when we had to give up on that, we transferred that willingness into upping the summer offer for Billy.

& the AMC?

We've suspended betting on Manchester United youngster Ravel Morrison moving in the January transfer window after seeing a large volume of bets for him to move to West Ham. Follow us on Twitter @SkyBet for all the latest transfer odds.

Morrison is a great talent but he has serious behavioural and attitude problems

This is how I read it. Move along nothing to see here, not quite worded correctly should read one of the top scorers in the championship. There is NO way Lambert is off to West Ham. IMHO
