In the last 3 seasons for Doncaster in the Championship he's got 40 goals in 81 games, an excellent return by anybody's standards. And only 25, so he's not even reached the peak of his career yet. Great signing, and quite a bargain at £1.8m.

Which is what I expect every fan to do but too many people think this is an amazing signing and that brings huge expectations. The way some of our fans have been lately, they will get straight on his back if he doesn't score straight away.

With lack of CBs for the next 3/4 games a one month loan CB like Collins would be nice to help Martin unless RJ is fully fit.

All imo of course. I'm basing my opinion on him on cold hard facts. I.e almost a goal every other game, less than £2m, proven with our manager, exactly the type of CF we've been crying out for. I'm not sure why people wouldn't have the opinion that this isn't a great signing.
