Heard from someone at work who has close family ties with some of the players (i know sounds dodgy and i dont really believe it myself) Apparantly the only signings we will make are frees or loans this windows as Cortese doesnt want to commit to spending big amounts whilst finding a new owner. I assume its all rubbish but thought i would put it out there, hopefully i will be proved wrong when we buy Hooper and Sharp!

Then a few months later Cortese was put in charge of Mali by the Leibheer family. I think they're quite content with what he's doing. Can't see them selling up, not until we're in the premiership and they have an opportunity to get a huge payday.

However they would only accept some ridiculous offer that they could not refuse - say the 250 million we could be worth when we reach the CL level (according to our Business Plan) As I think anyone would. And. as it is ridiculous and in the middle of a massive depression, it won't happen, and don't for a moment believe the Don is stupid enough to "tout it round" What is more likely is that someone may have asked how much would the club cost to buy and he said some stupid OTT number.

Hopefully the Billy Sharp deal will go through and blow this theory out the water though :-)

But if it is, surely if the club gets to the Premiership it would attract a much higher price, so I think NC will be very much aware of the need to invest now.

You arent going to ditch his last project and the thing that gave him joy in his last year without a backward glance. I imagine they would want to complete his 5 year plan before even thinking about selling up.

I've sent him my bank details and he is going to send me a bit more info on the deal. I'll let you know how this develops.
