Transfer deadline day thread.

There is no buy back clause in the contract and he is going for 300k, so man utd don't rate him, and I think they would know best.

Also Motson just said that Billy Sharp was the most significant transfer outside the permier league!!! COYR

Whats that coming over the hill... is it tadanari? It's Tadanari!!!!!

Morrison is a very talented player, but an awful ****. Chamberlain category in terms of ability, but the sort of violent, arrogant, waste of space that gives footballers a bad name. It's not exactly a glowing character reference that he has the talent, but Fergie has lost patience with him. If he does well, chances are he'll do very well, but if not expect fireworks.

Surprised Holmes hasnt gone anywhere yet

No real rush tbh.

Would be sensible to hang onto him until we've got the likes of Punch, De Ridder and Lallana back up to full fitness. He can then go out in the loan window, similar to what will happen to a few of our players IMO.

Sky Sports are really milking it today. In general terms today is as dead as most of the transfer window has been, yet they're making such a big deal out of the likes of Saha to Spurs and Jelavic to Everton is their leading story! Says it all about this window really!

TBH we're probably looked upon from the outside as having an excellent transfer window, and I'd have to agree. Better and more active than most.

Im sure you'll get a CB in but will be a loan so done over the next week. You'll want a player good enough for the premiership in the long term so if you've not got your first or second choice then may as well bring in some adept cover until the defence is back to full strength.

Celtic really are the limit. For years they've been crying out to play in the Premiership. Now Nigel Atkins and Cortese bend over backwards to enable that to happen, they turn down the chance. Some clubs are never content. :(

WHU are a joke.

I will pi.ss myself if they don't go up having spent so much/wages and still only achieved such a tedious boring style of play.

Normally I see them as comparable to ourselves but this season they're acting like utter cu.nts.

(Had to get that off my chest)

I thought they refused our bid for Commons weeks ago, is this a new bid or the old one rehashed? Anyway Sky Sports are always behind the times on transfers, things that have happened will be reported by them as breaking news in a couple of hours.Like Cissé to QPR, yesterday that happened,Corluka to Leverkusen etc etc etc.

Just been confirmed on SSN that us and Leicester have had £1m bids turned down for Jamie Vardy of Fleetwood.

Don't need him, it's not as though he is 19/20 years old. He's 25, yes he may be a late developer but can't see him developing too much further, especially if we are in the prem next season.

Hey new member not sure if it's been mentioned on this thread but skysports have said both us and Leicester have had £1 million bids rejected for Jamie Vardy

1 m£ is figurative speak for not much when utilised by Sky Sports. The bid was probably 150K plus some far distant add ons.Even then the 150 K was probably on the never never basis.
