S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 I cannot see Pearce here, not sure how that would go down with everyone either!
shurlock Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 I thought we were linked to him last jan window? Tbf, does get bullied in the air a bit.
St Jim Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Vaz Te having West Ham medical. They will have 8 strikers and nobody to create for them! This is Allardyce we're talking about, it's the defenders that do all the creating ......... with 80 yard punts.
Ken Tone Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 I thought we were linked to him last jan window? Tbf, does get bullied in the air a bit. Bournemouth wanted quite a lot for him and portsmouth got him as a bargain price because they had a sell-on fee from when he was with them before, so in effect they got a discount on a price that no one else was prepared to pay. He has now proved himself at championship level, and is btw left-sided (that's specially for you adransfc!).
View From The Top Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Can't see Pearce coming here myself but it would be a good signing.
SB Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Pearce from pompey. This is from the same source who told me Sharp was a done deal in November. Sharp was never a done deal in November? Sharp on talksport last night said he only had a call from his agent yesterday Morning, discussion have been on and of since July..Just saying.
trousers Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 @TonyHusbandBBC: #saintsfc Collins deal possibly not dead yet, according to reports in Potteries.
trousers Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Pearce from pompey. This is from the same source who told me Sharp was a done deal in November. So, given Sharp wasn't a done deal in November....?
Stattmeister Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 SSN Reporting Rhodes to Norwich and Hooper to one of two clubs in Russia. We may not return for them come summertime!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 BBC Sport's @NabilHassan79 says Ipswich and Reading are looking at Blackburn midfielder Keith Andrews good player
Monk Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Danny Collins deal on again according to the player.
suewhistle Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Lol no way would they sell to us. Plus he is a Pompey fan. Well, perhaps he just likes being paid, and he wouldn't have to move. Plus he'd be able to go and see AFC Pompey at Moneyfields on a Sunday morning..
Nexstar Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Pearce would be a very good signing. Just cover at CB and we are right on for promotion.
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 A few stoke correspondents/midlands reporters now saying the Collins deal is on. (on twitter)
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 WHU are opening talks with Bristol City for Nicky Maynard.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 WHU are opening talks with Bristol City for Nicky Maynard. I think I'd be more worried if he went to one of the teams below us. WHU have got plenty of strikers and waste most of them.
pressingon Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 WHU are opening talks with Bristol City for Nicky Maynard. As well as Ze Eduardo, Vaz Te and Ravel Morrison !!! busy day
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 I think I'd be more worried if he went to one of the teams below us. WHU have got plenty of strikers and waste most of them. I don't think they'll get the most out of him playing the way they do. Just my opinion.... but with Vaz Te, Eduardo and possibly maynard they're obviously trying to add pace
fareham saint phil Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Just heard on Sky that the Collins deal is back on as "offence" he made to Saints was a misunderstanding, What was this offence? and that we had contacted his agent this morning but as of 10 mins ago he was still in stoke
sussexsaint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 WHU are opening talks with Bristol City for Nicky Maynard. LOL clearly their master plan is to make sure noone else in the championship has any strikers at all or to play the controversial 2-0-8 formation

S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 He needs to get a bleedin move on if this is going to complete in time then... TBF if it's a loan deal then he can sign from Thursday onwards too.
alpine_saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 TBF if it's a loan deal then he can sign from Thursday onwards too. good point...
pingwing Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 I think I'd be more worried if he went to one of the teams below us. WHU have got plenty of strikers and waste most of them. Had to ask a West Ham fan about this, apparently there is only Baldock, Pinnoque and Cole are fancied by big fat sam (of which pinnoque is terrible and Cole has knee problems). Nouble is out on loan, Sears is just flat out hated by sam (which is stupid as he looked all right in his prem outings) and Carew likes a few too many lap dances... Annoyingly it looks like they will sort out this striker problem before we go there in a few weeks.
tttdcs Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 LOL clearly their master plan is to make sure noone else in the championship has any strikers at all or to play the controversial 2-0-8 formation :-) on their forum they think they should have signed Billy Sharp as well !! ...... 1-0-9 ?
ohwhenthesaints Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 LOL clearly their master plan is to make sure noone else in the championship has any strikers at all or to play the controversial 2-0-8 formation Well they miss out the midfield with their style of play anyway...
pap Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Just heard on Sky that the Collins deal is back on as "offence" he made to Saints was a misunderstanding, What was this offence? and that we had contacted his agent this morning but as of 10 mins ago he was still in stoke There was some talk on Twitter that he wanted stupid money. I believe that the hashtag #realitycheckneeded was employed
SNSUN Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 (edited) The more strikers West Ham sign, the more I come to dislike them. Allardyce is a **** that doesn't know how to manage a football club. **** or bust is definitely their motto, and their fans talk as though they're in the Premiership already because they're better than everyone else and will stay top until May. I would love it if they finish third and don't go up. Edited 31 January, 2012 by SNSUN

westofshannonsaint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Morrison having medical @ w.ham according to ssn http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/7467078/Morrison-set-for-Hammers
Saint Garrett Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Ridiculous how many strikers they'll have. Cole, Carew, Piquionne, Baldock, Ze Eduardo, Maynard, Vaz Te, Hall, Morrison, Nouble, Sears......have I missed any ?
CWD Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Ravel Morrison is a little ****. Can't see him being anything but a hindrance to WHU's promotion campaign. Still, he'll probably get on with fat Sam like a house on fire.
Lighthouse Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Apparently Blackburn now have the Olsson twins in their team.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis on Twitter: "Matt Upson will stay at Stoke if Danny Higginbotham leaves #SCFC. A lot of Championship clubs keen on Higginbotham #bbcfootball"
Nexstar Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 James Nursey @JamesNursey Danny Collins back at #Stoke after snubbing #Southampton
verlaine1979 Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Ravel Morrison is a little ****. Can't see him being anything but a hindrance to WHU's promotion campaign. Still, he'll probably get on with fat Sam like a house on fire. He does have ridiculous skill on the ball though - anyone managing to set him on the straight and narrow will have quite a player
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 James Nursey @JamesNursey Danny Collins back at #Stoke after snubbing #Southampton Ignore him. He's behind the times. He said ''Collins set to sign for Southampton'' after everyone else was saying it had fallen through. So no surprise that he's now reporting he's snubbed us, after others are reporting we're back in for him.
Ken Tone Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis on Twitter: "Matt Upson will stay at Stoke if Danny Higginbotham leaves #SCFC. A lot of Championship clubs keen on Higginbotham #bbcfootball" Another twitter feed said Higginbotham was talking to Ipswich. If he is leaving Stoke, I'm surprised we haven't been linked with him. Would be a useful addition ..experienced prem left-sided defender... getting past it but useful for this season and maybe for next. Always liked his attitude when he was with us before. How does Collins compare with him?

Bog off, we have to play Middlesbrough again. That bloke's f**k up brought it home to me that we were getting relegated. He's a jinx.
Appy Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Pearce not at Portsmouth training, along with Williams, Ben-Haim and Ashdown.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Pearce not at Portsmouth training, along with Williams, Ben-Haim and Ashdown. Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing Ben-Haim come in as 3rd/4th choice centre back?
Dig Dig Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Working from home today, SSN on in the background. They have a great formula for transfer deadline day don't they?.....use lots of bright colours and SHOUT each time there is even an inclination of some kind of transfer. Ridiculous.
Dig Dig Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing Ben-Haim come in as 3rd/4th choice centre back? Yes

Saint86 Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing Ben-Haim come in as 3rd/4th choice centre back? For me he is to on the slow side, that and his wage demands would be over 30k ';.;' Now this pearce on the other hand....
Dig Dig Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 They have to attract the attention of all those home-workers pretending to work. I've sent an email today thank you very much.
Avenue Saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 sky reporting vaz te AND maynard both heading to west ham! what a joke...
