Vaz Te having West Ham medical. They will have 8 strikers and nobody to create for them!

This is Allardyce we're talking about, it's the defenders that do all the creating ......... with 80 yard punts.

I thought we were linked to him last jan window? Tbf, does get bullied in the air a bit.

Bournemouth wanted quite a lot for him and portsmouth got him as a bargain price because they had a sell-on fee from when he was with them before, so in effect they got a discount on a price that no one else was prepared to pay.

He has now proved himself at championship level, and is btw left-sided (that's specially for you adransfc!).

Pearce from pompey.

This is from the same source who told me Sharp was a done deal in November.

Sharp was never a done deal in November? Sharp on talksport last night said he only had a call from his agent yesterday

Morning, discussion have been on and of since July..Just saying.

So, given Sharp wasn't a done deal in November....?

Lol no way would they sell to us. Plus he is a Pompey fan.

Well, perhaps he just likes being paid, and he wouldn't have to move. Plus he'd be able to go and see AFC Pompey at Moneyfields on a Sunday morning..

I think I'd be more worried if he went to one of the teams below us. WHU have got plenty of strikers and waste most of them.

I don't think they'll get the most out of him playing the way they do. Just my opinion....

but with Vaz Te, Eduardo and possibly maynard they're obviously trying to add pace

WHU are opening talks with Bristol City for Nicky Maynard.

LOL clearly their master plan is to make sure noone else in the championship has any strikers at all or to play the controversial

2-0-8 formation

Just heard on Sky that the Collins deal is back on as "offence" he made to Saints was a misunderstanding, What was this offence? and that we had contacted his agent this morning but as of 10 mins ago he was still in stoke

He needs to get a bleedin move on if this is going to complete in time then...

Had to ask a West Ham fan about this, apparently there is only Baldock, Pinnoque and Cole are fancied by big fat sam (of which pinnoque is terrible and Cole has knee problems). Nouble is out on loan, Sears is just flat out hated by sam (which is stupid as he looked all right in his prem outings) and Carew likes a few too many lap dances...

Annoyingly it looks like they will sort out this striker problem before we go there in a few weeks.

:-) on their forum they think they should have signed Billy Sharp as well !! ...... 1-0-9 ?

Well they miss out the midfield with their style of play anyway...

There was some talk on Twitter that he wanted stupid money. I believe that the hashtag #realitycheckneeded was employed :D

The more strikers West Ham sign, the more I come to dislike them. Allardyce is a **** that doesn't know how to manage a football club. **** or bust is definitely their motto, and their fans talk as though they're in the Premiership already because they're better than everyone else and will stay top until May.

I would love it if they finish third and don't go up.

Happy for them to finish third or even higher (Just as long as we finish above them of course!)

Ravel Morrison is a little ****. Can't see him being anything but a hindrance to WHU's promotion campaign. Still, he'll probably get on with fat Sam like a house on fire.

He does have ridiculous skill on the ball though - anyone managing to set him on the straight and narrow will have quite a player

Danny Collins back at #Stoke after snubbing #Southampton

Ignore him. He's behind the times.

He said ''Collins set to sign for Southampton'' after everyone else was saying it had fallen through.

So no surprise that he's now reporting he's snubbed us, after others are reporting we're back in for him.

BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis on Twitter: "Matt Upson will stay at Stoke if Danny Higginbotham leaves #SCFC. A lot of Championship clubs keen on Higginbotham #bbcfootball"

Another twitter feed said Higginbotham was talking to Ipswich. If he is leaving Stoke, I'm surprised we haven't been linked with him. Would be a useful addition ..experienced prem left-sided defender... getting past it but useful for this season and maybe for next. Always liked his attitude when he was with us before.

How does Collins compare with him?

Bog off, we have to play Middlesbrough again.

That bloke's f**k up brought it home to me that we were getting relegated. He's a jinx.

Working from home today, SSN on in the background. They have a great formula for transfer deadline day don't they?.....use lots of bright colours and SHOUT each time there is even an inclination of some kind of transfer. Ridiculous.

They have to attract the attention of all those home-workers pretending to work.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing Ben-Haim come in as 3rd/4th choice centre back?

For me he is to on the slow side, that and his wage demands would be over 30k ';.;'

Now this pearce on the other hand....
