No the Forest bloke thankfully! He's a CB, they need 7 to try out the "wall of people" on the line tactic for the run in....

Sharp though would be very good news!

Ah! good thanks. If we gained Sharp but lost Morgan I dont think we would be any further forward.

short term CB loan to cover the returning fitness of Jos/Jaidi and Seaborne would ease my mind as well now - I think we could then say a very successful window!

Maybe that's what Adkins meant about the loan window, when quizzed after the Millwall game. He was referring to a loan CB rather than looking for loan striking reinforcements? To be honest, if Jose is fit for tomorrow then he Aaron Martin will probably be ok with Radhi on the bench and we could spend time getting the right loan in.

We did that for Gorrks and it bit us in the arse. We keep playing these games!

Did it? If player A wants more than we think he is worth and we move onto player B, that is not playing games, its just looking after the clubs' finances. I hope NC keeps playing that game.

If we are going to try and pass it out from the back that doesn't half help. Martin looked terribly uncomfortable when having to make clearances down that side. he has absolutely no left foot.

To all those people that said he would not come down here, I put it on record that Saints was his no 1 choice and he would love to sign for us if we agreed his wage demands of 20k a week.

We spoke to him a week before Xmas alongside Maynard but they both wanted too much at the time, this is why it was reported after Xmas Saints are not interested in the pair.

I expect we have finally given up with Hooper and gone with our 2nd choice Sharp.

If you want to give credit to the guy who got Sharp down here then step forward James Beattie.

Please explain the Beattie comment

How very kind of him.

So Leicester are looking to sign Danny Collins as we've missed out on him but we're about to sign Billy Sharp. I'd have taken that result at the start of yesterday!

I take it we'll still be looking for CB coverage but in the emergency loan window. Good of Saints to do some business late on in the window - I thought nothing would happen.

Anyone got a rough idea how much we are paying for Sharp, will we be breaking the club record?

Newspaper article yesterday or Saturday specifically had a quote from someone at Donny stating that if someone came in with a bid of £1.75m (I think) then they would give permission to talk...

Yep, exactly. Tremendous value for money and makes me wonder why we seemed determined to splash out £6m on a similar player.

The Doncaster Chairman was quoted in early December when this £1.85m contract release fee was put about that the CRF was £3m as from 1st Jan 2012.
