Thedelldays Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 Technically it would be a childless gay marriage, but we get the spirit of the post. what if your birth mum...had a sex change and got a set of dangle berries....would he/she still be your "mum"..?
buctootim Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 (edited) what if your birth mum...had a sex change and got a set of dangle berries....would he/she still be your "mum"..? No, but she'd be lining up for England against Norway tomorrow night according to CB Fry. (some paraphrasing and artistic licence may have been deployed in this post) Edited 25 May, 2012 by buctootim
david in sweden Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 "Had he scored 51 goals in two Premier League seasons, he would be lining up for England against Norway tomorrow". Well yes, he would. But he hasn't. If my mum had balls she'd be my Dad.[/QUOTE] I have noticed that you're very quick to pick up on inaccuracies in other people's posts, so my question to you is ; ..You did take Biology at school ..right ?

Danbert Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 What's the inaccuracy in my post you are referring to and what's it got to do with biology? MAKES no sense to me "either".
Norm Posted 27 May, 2012 Posted 27 May, 2012 Sods law. Been away for a week (clubbing in Pacha, Ibiza) and this Forum changes from football to biology!

eelpie Posted 27 May, 2012 Posted 27 May, 2012 Sounds like he wants Champions League football as well as the Premier League. So perhaps it might be that if we can't sign him now we sign him in January after Celtic have inevitably been knocked out

CB Fry Posted 27 May, 2012 Posted 27 May, 2012 Any of our jock-watchers think this Forster kid is any good? We need a keeper at least with potential to be equal to Kelvin by the end of next season. Nice to have an English keeper too. Just thinking lets see if we can really screw the hoops over.
eelpie Posted 27 May, 2012 Posted 27 May, 2012 Unfortunately they will also inevitably be heading toward Champions League in 2013/14 in January So will clubs in the EPL. I'm sure Nicola can persuade him that we will be one of them in 03/14 with him in the team. Well, why not - isn't that is in the plan?
pezza Posted 27 May, 2012 Posted 27 May, 2012 He wants Champions Leaugue football - well he will get one round as any representative of that third rate league has no chance. He wants to play for Barcelona - prove yourself in a decent league, Jordan Rhodes is playing in a harder league than him Wants to play for England - see above
Flyer Posted 31 May, 2012 Posted 31 May, 2012 The sweatie papers have him going to QPR or WHU for £7m but hes hoping for a move to Barca. No Im not joking. Hed be a much better buy than JR at £7m.

You would say that as you are a QPR fan To be fair, they're both over priced. no doubts about that. But as far as attributes and ''all round game'' goes, I'd have to say Rodriguez pips Hooper.
Flyer Posted 31 May, 2012 Posted 31 May, 2012 JR is well overpriced, Swansea got Danny Graham for half the £7m quoted. JR gets than 1 in 3 Hooper gets more than 1 in 2 and thats impressive when a lot of those were for Scunny.

Bucks Saint Posted 31 May, 2012 Posted 31 May, 2012 Hooper is 100% a fox in the box. Every single goal this season was from inside the area. I sit next to his good mate at work. Well worth having but happy to have JR instead

Hooper comes to you, the price will be £10m+. Edited 31 May, 2012 by shurlock
sfc4prem Posted 31 May, 2012 Posted 31 May, 2012 Hooper is pretty similar to Sharp, too similar, if they were both to be at Saints. This is why Rodriguez is a better option - he offers us something else.
Flyer Posted 31 May, 2012 Posted 31 May, 2012 You're qpr, you're chumps - whoever it is, you're bound to overpay for them. Hooper comes to you, the price will be £10m+. We got Cisse and Zamora for £4m each, the only overpayment weve done is on Bartons wages and hopefully he will be sacked soon. Thats nowhere near as bad as paying £7m for an NPC player with an average goalscoring record.

Thats nowhere near as bad as paying £7m for an NPC player with an average goalscoring record. That NPC player with an average goalscoring record has potential at the age of 22 - something you can't particularly say for Zamora or Cisse - both of whom would be on big wages.

Yes, jolly well done on that bargain of the century. Cisse? Never ever would he get anywhere near St Mary's. The day Saints start spending money like that on players like that is the day we have failed as a club.

david in sweden Posted 4 June, 2012 Posted 4 June, 2012 "Celtic striker Gary Hooper has revealed his frustration at being overlooked for international duty with England" http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7777332/Hooper-s-England-frustration yes well that's one excuse, but as we don't have to depend on players who qualify by virtue of their grandmothers citizenship ...I think it more likely that an English player - even a successful one... playing in Scotland is hardly likely to attract much attention from the England selectors. I think you have to go back a long way to find anyone who was that much of an exception .. Playing for one of the " big two" in Scotland is the equivalent of playing against opposition in NPc or L1. Mark Hately?. Graham Roberts? ..don't even recall if they were selected for England whilst playing in SPL.?

Webby Posted 4 June, 2012 Posted 4 June, 2012 I don't actually think Jay Rod is overpriced at 6.5m. Am I the only one? FFS, Delap cost 4m all those years ago!
Saint Garrett Posted 4 June, 2012 Posted 4 June, 2012 I don't think he would be overpriced at all, especially as he's 22 and English with huge potential....look at Chamberlain/Wickham/Henderson as an example of english young talent.
