It's very important for the centre backs to attack the dropping ball tonight, the biggest issue up at Cardiff was that they didn't do this which allowed miller to run in under the bounce and get his body between the defender and the ball to hold it up for their supporting wingers and midfielders or for him to get a touch to take it past the centre back. They have to be all over him tonight!

Someone said Miller might be injured?

Davis

Frazer, Fonte, Martin, Fox

Cork, Morgan, Hammond, Lallana

Guly, Lambert?

If Chaplow is fit, him to start instead of Morgan and then Cork in the middle. If no Lallana then start De Ridder. Or move Guly to RM and Lee up front. Plenty of options.

KD

Richardson - Fonte - Martin - Fox

Guly - Hammond - Cork - Lallana

- Lambert - Connolly -

Can see this being the line up for tonight, or possibly Guly up front instead of Connolly and Punch or SDR on the right.

I hope Connolly doesn't start. He's just not reliable enough any more.

Since the first few games of the season he has had as many shockers as decent games.

I would expect it to be Guly and Lambert upfront with Lee on the bench. Hopefully Puncheon and Lallana on the wings.

Fraser....Fonte...Martin....Fox

Punch...Cork....Morgan...Lallana

If Chaplow is fit to start, swap him for Cork until 60 or 70 mins.

Similarly why not give Lee a run out for 60 odd mins and then perhaps replace with Guly

I for one am looking forward to this Game tbh and I think that it'l be fairly tight with both teams going for it and am going for a 2-1 Saints win with goals from

Lambert n Schneiderlin/Fox for Saints n Whittingham/Miller for Cardiff but we'l see!!!

Anyone have any ideas about how many tickets have been sold tonight!?!

Thanks!

COYR :D!!!

You are incredibly vague with your goalscorers.

Always seem to be a 3-2 sort of scoreline when Cardiff come to town, and I remember that match at home when they turned a two goal deficit around. Can't see Chaplow starting, perhaps Lallana. We gave away two poor goals at their place and had numerous chances ourself that night, and I think we will win tonight after last weeks shambles. 2-1 both Lambert

If Chappers is fit I can't see him starting, neither can I see Punch starting as he'll be a bit short of match fitness so I reckon those two will be on the bench ready to come on in the last half an hour.

So is Guly injured or just dropped from the squad? Chaplow obviously not ready for his comeback. Harsh on De Ridder being dropped from the bench too, I think.

Wonder who gets dropped to accommodate Billy Sharp and Chaplow when ready to play? Real selection dilemmas coming for Adkins in the upcoming games. Good to have competition for places again.

@jordansibley: Guly misses out tonight with a minor injury. Sharp not registered in time to play tonight as the deadline was midday yesterday. #saintsfc

Happy with that team to be fair, even though that hasn't always meant the team have delivered. Chaplow, Sharp, and Hooiveld added to that and we are looking quite stong for the matchday squad. Good luck boys.

terrible echo around here:scared:

An unfortunate consequence of the cut and thrust of the build-up, my good man.
