I can forgive you for not having a clue what you are talking about, because of your location. So you are off the hook.

Now Minty, have you actually seen how well we can play? Or are you just going to slag us rotten because astonishingly we have had some serious injury problems and our top striker out suspended and have had a rough patch?

I really f*****g hate some of our fans and at times wish we could f*** off back to being sh*t in League One as gradually more and more of these c*nts are coming out of the woodwork and it is really getting on my wick. Spoilt bloody children some of you.

Are you being sarcastic? What on earth has Minty said wrong? Your point means nothing......unless you've quoted the wrong person.

Hmmmm... May well have. My point being, there is so much negativity. When this squad has got us into this position in the first place, it amazes me how many people are turning on that very same squad. Not just on here, but have a look on the Official Saints Facebook comments, or any of the fan groups or Championship Banter Page, the amount of people who are openly slamming everything Southampton do amazes me. It is a disgrace, but I can guarantee that they were nowhere to be seen during the first season in League One.

Well I for one agree with you, and that's exactly the point Minty was making too which is why your attack on him was confusing!

I believe by now we have more than enough feed back and information to see how things are going to pan out. We have money to buy players, even to the extent of Leicester but we are not prepared to pay Premier wages until we reach the Premier. What ever players we buy will have to fit within a wage structure that can be maintained without doing any damage to the club financially in the short, medium or long term.

I don't have any issues with this even to the extent of being in the NPC more than predicted. I enjoy the NPC, with my only fear being we get picked apart by the Premier. With the set up we have I feel we should still be forward moving without having to take the risks that got us into our current position. Very few clubs are debt free in the NPC , meaning we can spend far more of our budget on the playing side, although shy of those with a good parachute or the likes of Leicester.

We have had such a great extended start to the season I feel we have actually got ahead of ourselves. By that I mean we are that close to achieving promotion it looks logical to go out and buy a couple of players for £10-15M and the wages to boot. But that is exactly the kind of actions that can return us from whence we came, either up or down if things don't work out. Everything here indicates that Cortese is in it for the long haul and not prepared to risk the future with what looks to many as a golden opportunity. The adherence to a wages structure, the money and development of the Academy, the introduction of the youth into the first team set up all indicate the long term.

Many fans would look at the signing of Falque and Lee more as a gamble than a total positive and that looks about right. Spurs unloaded Falque on a hit or miss basis and it's difficult seeing that one bear fruit, with the added problem he is taking up valuable space. Either he or Lee could do the business, but it's definitely not the gold plated option of moving forward. Again I have no problem with this and I can see Lee working out well. It's just working within our set limits that both Adkins and Cortese understand and fully accept. No one is fobbing us off, we still have excellent opportunities and finances to back that plan. No one has ever indicated it would be otherwise, we just got a liking to that early success and the Leicester game painted a different picture.

Excellent post. This was obvious in the summer. I think this season was all about consolidation and yes, our storming start may have taken everyone by surprise. However, NC wants to build the club on a sustainable basis and probably does not want to veer away from his strict structure even if it means waiting till next season for a push on promotion. This is what I have been saying since the summer and I am glad to see that more and more people are coming around to my way of thinking.

Dalek, please feel free to simply copy and paste the above to every other thread on the forum. It will save you lots of time.

I do not think there is 1 person on this forum who missed your repetitive moaning and wumming in the summer about how we will finish 17th but you really are getting to be a tiresome **** now. You Litterally post the same message in every thread. You're either a tireless wum or you're incredibly stupid. You say you're not a wum so I'm guessing it's the latter. You want people to stop calling you a wum? Then STOP FACKING REPEATING YOURSELF!! It's beyond funny

Hang on, I am no more repetitive than other posters. I think it is more the case that my opinion doesn't fit well with others.

Another example is my views on the 2004 Glenn Hoddle issue. I understand that people have a different take on the issue, but why shouldn't the issue be repeated, it is still relevant.

Glad you've stuck to your guns- most divs who've been proven wrong would have run away with their tail between their legs and not made another sound by now.

How can you say you're not repetitive?! Look back through your last 100 posts and count how many times you have said the same thing! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and whilst enthusiastic about the season ahead I too will admit I felt our aim for the season was to cement our position in the NPC before building our attack on the prem over the next 2 years. BUT we have done a lot better than my initial expectations and I am made up about that. Consequently I have changed my views about what we are expecting this season. To feel we are still hoping for anything better than 17th is deluded at best.

I seriously doubt there is are any posters on here who dont know your views on Hoddle or your prediction we will finish 17th, so what is the point of banging that drum at every opportunity? - especially since the Hoddle thing was 8 years ago and within a few games finsihing 17th will be a mathmetical impossibility.

How is the Hoddle issue still relevant? It was 8 years ago. Its about as relevant as whether Lawrie should have taken over from Ted Bates, many people thought it was a terrible decision at the time. Maybe it was, perhaps we would have done better to have appointed the 15 year old Messiah at the time and avoided the 20+ years of ups and downs in between so that we could have been multi European Champions. If Hoddle had kept us up (which I doubt without the support of John Gorman) then would we now be in the happy financial position we ar now. Who knows, but probably not. Its irrelevant, its in the past, a point in history. Get over it. You are by far the most repetitive poster/troll here, you are sir a 2 trick pony (Hoddle and 17th).

Well if I am now a 2 trick pony, then that is 100% improvement. Maybe with my increased posts on Hooper issue makes me very nearly a 3 trick pony !
