SaintRichmond Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 According to Alan Nixon the reason was ''so trivial'' that he expected it to be resolved. Pulis senior wanted us to take Anthony on another 5 year deal ...........................
Under Weststand Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Sky reporter has just updated outside the stoke training ground. Speaking to Collins he said it was a breakdown in communication that the deal fell through, a perceived slur by Collins towards Southampton, but we are back in contact & Collins hoping it can be sorted today. He is keen for the deal to go through.

Weston Saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Seems Collins caused offence by something he said or did at Southampton but he says it was a communication problem. Saints have been in touch with his agent again but he is still at Stoke training ground at present. Sounds like he is keen
thorpie the sinner Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Did he think Nicola was a girl lol????
alpine_saint Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 Danny Collins probably said something about the relocation to NC, something like "I come with the cats, though" If you say that fast enough, it makes the last two words sound like "Cazzo", which is Italian for "Dickhead" Big oooooops.....
sadoldgit Posted 31 January, 2012 Posted 31 January, 2012 I think that saying you come with cats is far more worrying thn calling someone a dickhead Alps.

When he said to agent "I want £40,000pw or the cheapskate small timers can eff off" what he meant to say was "I realise I have been living in a bubble at Stoke, am coming towards the end of my undistinguished career and having considered all my other options (none), will take whatever you offer". All a horrible misunderstanding. Edited 31 January, 2012 by buctootim

All a horrible misunderstanding. Haha. I would expect it to be something like that. Really would be keen to know what exactly we 'thought' he had said.
Ashby Saint Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Linked again in The People this morning after agreeing terms for a loan.
Saint Garrett Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Joined West Ham today until the end of the season.
david in sweden Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 every defender in the League with the name Danny stands a chance in our squad...
The9 Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Joined West Ham today until the end of the season. Expect to see George McCartney joining a side we still have to play very soon...
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Expect to see George McCartney joining a side we still have to play very soon... hahahaha classic
thegaffer Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Probally got another 2 more players to come in on loan as wellGone to West Ham!!!
Window Cleaner Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Expect to see George McCartney joining a side we still have to play very soon... depends what Sunderland think of that.
Dellman Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 West Ham are still panicking, I prefer our calmer style in the market
SNSUN Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Meh. Jonjo Shelvey will beef up our midfield no problems...
The9 Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 depends what Sunderland think of that. Fair point, I was trying to think of an obvious left back in their squad and forgot he was on loan - seeing as they can't loan Collins onwards. I suspect now they're just trying to hoover up all possible loan players anyone else might want - it's mental really, they already have about 5 strikers that don't get a look in... and they're just running up debt they can't cover.
The9 Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Collins is a CB, McCartney is a LB !? Collins can also play LB.

That won't matter if they go up. What will matter is all these extra players will lead to a large bloated squad and a constantly changing first CI. Is collins any better than they already have? Sounds like fat Sam is panicking to me.
shurlock Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 (edited) Collins is being drafted in as a CB to replace Winston Reid who's picked up an injury. A temporary solution. Nothing more, nothing less. Makes sense as he's probably played with Faye quite a bit before. Edited 9 March, 2012 by shurlock
Pedro Posted 9 March, 2012 Posted 9 March, 2012 Do the loans to "the end of the season" continue into the play offs. What I'm thinking is that if WHU end up in them will their loan players have already gone back to their parent clubs (or holidaying in Dubai). Would love it if us and Reading went up automatically and big Sam struggled, take that mug gum chewing face looking even more like a slapped arse.

Greedy fekers.
swannymere Posted 10 March, 2012 Posted 10 March, 2012 £200k to an agent for a loan, they live on another planet, i wouldn't mind but it's the fans who end footing the bill.
Saint Garrett Posted 10 March, 2012 Posted 10 March, 2012 Absolutely ridiculous. You could probably buy him for 500k...!!
