The sort of thing I wanted. Hopefully till the end of the season. Striker please and we are sorted.

Sort of agree but would like to see a pacy wide man brought in too, although hopefully Puncheon will play that role. If thats the case, 1 more forward and happy days.

So not really cover for jos then, more of another option. Good because it's what we needed. Adkins has done what I expected so far. One new striker (sharp hopefully) and it will have been a great window.

Exactly - all this talk of average backup signings etc is rubbish. This guy will add to the squad, but is as good as our other players - so we're not worried if/when he has to step in! Exactly the right transfer policy to adopt.

If you think keeping clean sheets is down to a single player then you're a little naive!

Not at all. Just stating a fact (well they kept one or two while shipping a ton)

But i think he's a good, no-nonsense option whose experience will be handy.

Odd one really, makes sense to get a short term loan until we know whether Seaborne will ever play again, but is clearly more of a left back than a CB (was usually second choice to Danny Higginbotham at Stoke). Is not particularly tall for a CB either, but may make a decent backup for Jos until the end of the season. Clearly not a long term option, can't see why we would be looking to bring him in long term when he is known not to be able to command a regular PL place and age is not on his side (wrong side of 31). But we do desparately need a backup for Jos on the left hand side so if NA thinks he fits that bill so be it. Can't see Raidi playing regularly again and DS won't play again this season I will wager (unless it is just a cameo). Left sided CB should always have been a top priority in this window.

Ok, I have asked a Stoke supporting mate about him, and here's his considered opinion:

"Oh **** mate, we played him at left back and he was woeful. We tried him at centre half a couple of times, his supposed natural position and he had his belly tickled. Ipswich had him on loan for the first part of the season and they were glad to send him back. I'ld say you're too good for him to be honest, he's one of those defenders that never gets anywhere near their player, never mind a challenge (unless he's tw*tted someone from behind or was 5 minutes late) You'd have been much better wanting Higginbotham."

So, happy days!

Wouldn't take that as gospel. I asked some Ipswich fans about him and they're all sad he left them, they all rated him and wanted him back.

He's probably been poor for them, but he wasn't poor for Ipswich.
