Saint_Jonny Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 That's it. Relegation is all we can hope for now.
This Charming Man Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 Crazy. We're struggling for strikers and we let one of our star strikers go out on loan? It's almost like we don't want to get promoted.
niceandfriendly Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 F*cks sake I read that as Fonte for a second and almost shat myself.
S-Clarke Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 ****. Couldn't we have just given them Lambert or something? We're screwed now.
Miltonaggro Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 No pace in the side whatsoever now! FFS...
kpturner Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 No pace in the side whatsoever now! FFS...Why not? Does SDR have to wear lead boots from now on, or has he gone on loan too?
S-Clarke Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 No pace in the side whatsoever now! FFS... To be fair, pace is only useful if you can actually use it in a positive footballing sense. No disrespect to Forte.
sussexsaint Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 F*cks sake I read that as Fonte for a second and almost shat myself. Ditto - actually shouted out WTF at work
Miltonaggro Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 People are forgetting that we are talking about Jonno Quick here, float like a hovercraft sting like a slow loris! FFS...
Justin C Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 I know a few of their fans and they are really pleased with him. Hopefully everyone is a winner here!
Sour Mash Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 F**ks sake, just got his name and number on the back of my Saints shirt!
Miltonaggro Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 F**ks sake, just got his name and number on the back of my Saints shirt! is it in italics to reflect the unbridled speed associated with JF?...
Danbert Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 Ditto - actually shouted out WTF at work Just saw this headline on the BBC: [h=1]Carroll seals move to Olympiakos[/h]and thought, surely Andy Carroll's not that crap
ThreeSixty Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 We must have turned down the £1m offer from Brighton. One for the future.
Dig Dig Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 Stupid decision considering how short we are at CB.
Wade Garrett Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 I'll be eternally grateful for his 2 goals against MK Dons last season. Good luck to him.
manji Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 Adkins said this was in the pipeline a couple of weeks ago. About the same time said they were looking for a striker......
Weston Saint Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 The only way he will develop his talent is to play regularly. This gives him that opportunity in a league where he should be more comfortable. Hope he does well.
Foxstone Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 Wish him the very best of luck - The experience will be good for the lad.
Lighthouse Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 The only way he will develop his talent is with some really naff sequel to the film Spacejam. This gives him that opportunity in a league where he should be more comfortable. Hope he does well. Fixed.
SuperMikey Posted 27 January, 2012 Posted 27 January, 2012 Perhaps a signifier that we're close to bringing in another striker...? Or maybe it's because we've signed Tadanari. Either way, good luck to him.
david in sweden Posted 28 January, 2012 Posted 28 January, 2012 To be fair, pace is only useful if you can actually use it in a positive footballing sense. No disrespect to Forte. quite right Clarkey........but he could be a match-winner at Notts County's level ...
david in sweden Posted 28 January, 2012 Posted 28 January, 2012 F*cks sake I read that as Fonte for a second and almost shat myself. Fonte.....Forte....are you dysletic, or something ?
Saint_clark Posted 28 January, 2012 Posted 28 January, 2012 I'll be eternally grateful for his 2 goals against MK Dons last season. Good luck to him. This. No hard feelings towards the guy whatsoever, he did exactly what he was brought here to do. People constantly complain about back-up not performing when it is required of them - well this guy did.
Pahars_Legend Posted 28 January, 2012 Posted 28 January, 2012 Played the first half for County today.
once_bitterne Posted 28 January, 2012 Posted 28 January, 2012 Played the first half for County today. But not the second....
Saint Charlie Posted 28 January, 2012 Posted 28 January, 2012 Was ****e and got subbed at HT. Allen said after he won't criticise him but they needed more of an attacking threat.
niceandfriendly Posted 29 January, 2012 Posted 29 January, 2012 Fonte.....Forte....are you dysletic, or something ? I assume you mean dyslexic, david? And no, not dyslexic but partially blind, yes.
Doctoroncall Posted 30 January, 2012 Posted 30 January, 2012 Was ****e and got subbed at HT. Allen said after he won't criticise him but they needed more of an attacking threat. First game for a while. They have him for the rest of the season so lets see if he improves or does a Forecast.
david in sweden Posted 30 January, 2012 Posted 30 January, 2012 I assume you mean dyslexic, david? And no, not dyslexic but partially blind, yes. Thakns fro piontnig that uot, I dn'tn nomallay hav truobel speling.
Lazlo78 Posted 4 March, 2012 Posted 4 March, 2012 Forte scored their first in a vital win over Carlisle - seemingly he was MoM: For the first time in an age we had a proper forward to lead the line (Hooosseyy apart). Forte held the ball up, layed it off, used pace to run at defenders, attacked their back line, challanged for headers and ran for lost causes, not forgetting his goal of course and he won the foul for Sheehans free kick. It was about a complete performance as I've seen in years, prob since Stallard days. MOM by a mile. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=402&fid=17&sty=2&act=1&mid=2115206006
