I wonder want song he's going to sing in the dressing room as the induction.

In general the japanese are sh*t hot at Karaoke, national pastime. Worse you are the more they like you though.

Perhaps he can hire his ex to sing Sayonara ...Orange Range version that is.

********! After all my playfulness on the Puncheon thread I fell asleep on the sofa literally two minutes before this was announced!

Very pleased with this signing, it'll widen our audience in Japan for one thing, but also judging by his stats he'll be a welcome addition to our first team! Yes people will question why we couldn't have achieved both the Puncheon scenario and Lee's signing before the Leicester game, but these things take time. Looking forward to seeing him in action the next time I can get to see Saints.

A CB and another Striker and we're golden. :-)

Excellent news, hopefully he'll get a bit of gametime on Saturday. Fantastic signing on a free transfer as well! Congrats to the person who scouted him, nice big bonus methinks.

10/15 minutes may be, I mean he hasn't played a competitive game since early december.Pity we can't arrange a reserve match at short notice, we have players who could do with a bit of a run out,Jaidi,Puncheon, then there's the DS who don't seem to play at all

very often.

Free transfer... So almost certainly we did the deal with him in the summer (hence shirt #19 was free), and allowed him to complete his contract and finish the J-league season which ended in December.

Like I've said before Tadanari Lee was proposed to a fair number of European clubs from last summer onwards. I have an aquaintance who scouts for AJ Auxerre and he told me that the AJA had received a circular fact sheet about him. They might well have been interested as well but his salary ask was probably too high for them. PSG took a look as well I think.

I can see him being nicknamed Bruce by the squad...

NA: Hey Tanadairy, Tandumanu, Tadardairylee, Tandumbicycle.

TL: Hey, bross. Jus' call me Broose.

NA: If you don't mind.

TL: Not at all. Now, Mr Cortese want me have a word with someone. Where is this Jason Puncheon, I have special punchoen for him if he not apologise.

TBF, I could understand a few doubts creeping in to those of that disposition, but some of the conspiracies that were coming out were quite funny, and all based on literally nothing.

And not many held their hands up yet.

Meanwhile this is now a complete disaster.

He was FREE?

Must be rubbish after all then. Why were you getting so excited about him.

Sign Jason Pearce from Pompey and were sorted.
With all that's happening down the road, and having shown patience in this transfer window, we are in a vultures situation ready to swoop down and make one or two very nice signings. Our neighbours players can only be delighted of a move locally and the chance of Premiership football.

keepers are probably a weeny bit better in the NPC, don't forget that misfit that they had at Skate,Kawaguchi, played 122 times for Japan. Still, we'll mould Lee to our style if he's got the right building blocks.

Japan have improved a heck of a lot since then.

The pickings of the carcass of Skatesville and Pompey players deserves it's own thread. I can't see the window closing without us signing someone from down the road. We'd be foolish not to take advantage of their dilemma.
