And the crowd picked the team up .......and the rest is history.

That's what we need again, not this finger pointing whinging and moaning.

To a man, we would have biten anyones hand off if we were offered 2nd place in January, back at the start of the season.

"Support" was abysmal last night, like you say we used to be half decent at getting things going whena goal or two town at home.

Was a weird night all round, even before kick off it felt very muted and a poor turnout for a team that has been doing so well and hasn't had that many home games of late, food for though on future ticketing arrangements.

Against MK Dons we showed some initiative and passion hence the crowd's reaction. Last night was utter sh*te and there was no way back, hence the crowd's frustration. We've not played well at home (or away come to think of it) since we beat Brighton in November and if we carry on like this we'll be lucky to make the play-offs.

Had we been offered second in January at the start of the season, yes, of course we'd have taken it but the steady decline in performance over the last couple of months somehow takes the shine off it. Last night reminded me of the performaces I witnessed when we were last in this league! How much do we need Lambert , Lallana, Fonte and Chaplow back to arrest this slide!

Crowd was an absolute disgrace last night. Not just after we conceded, there was a palpable sense of complacency and lack of passion from the word go. Expectations have shifted incredibly rapidly to unrealistically high levels and the moment things weren't going perfectly the crowd got on the players' backs. Never conducive to a good atmosphere.

You see time and again that a loud, supportive crowd can lift a struggling team, yet we get booing at half time (I missed the part where we fell into the relegation places) and an incredible flow of people leaving with bloody quarter of an hour left. 21k is a poor enough attendance in itself but for two-thirds of that to be halfway home by the final whistle is pathetic.

You can roll out the clichés such as "We could've stayed here all night and they still wouldnt have scored" but the fact of the matter is that despite playing awfully we still had 4 or 5 great chances that could've changed the game at any point.

I thought the crowd was dreadul last night. Booing the team at half-time? Always a good way to inspire players!...

That MK Dons gamr had something else, Barnard, I think we really missing him at the moment. He will run all day, put defenders under pressure and to an extent puts himself about, added bonus he can put the ball in the back of the net.

Agree. Shocking support. 21k must be our lowest of the season?

I thought these 'final 10' tickets actually sold?

An embarrassment and total let-down. And booing?? Yes we playe badly, but we've just been promoted and are still in the top 2. People that booed need to have a look at themselves IMO. Expectation has clearly got too much.

Turn up to SMS, get behind the lads, and don't f*cking boo them if they don't win, because we're not going to win every week.

People need to get a grip. It seems most people are forgetting where we have come from last season. We will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, in the promotion mix up but we have no divine right to be top of the league. For the past 2 months or even more we have been incredibly lucky to stay top, we could easily be languishing 10 points or so of West Ham but we are not. The reaction of some of the fans on here is just incredible.

Excellent appraisal. Couldn't agree more.

To be honest, I tried the virtual version of "getting behind the team" in the match thread and I seemed to be in a minority... It was like watching a virtual exodus to the post match thread half an hour before the game had finished :(

I know it's different, cause the players can't see or hear us, but the mentality seems to be the same...
