Dig Dig Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 Puncheon says sorry to NC for being a knob on twitter and for actions in the past. 1-0 to the CoC. Where is June now?

ART Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 In Nicola Cortese, the backing of the Liebherr we have something we don't merit. It's high time that each and every Saints supporter invested 100% of themselves into backing them, backing the club. With the possible Dockyard closure in Skatesville and their club folding, a man like Cortese and the Liebherr backing stands to create a massive job saving industry and huge football empire your here in God's country. david in sweden Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 This thread started with the headline...Cortese is the issue, NOT Adkins. The club ..ala Cortese is everyone's employer ! No-one furthers their career by slagging off their boss (unless they are in politics) .and it's ended up with Jason Puncheon making, what seems to be a polite and well-meant public apology, so it's hard to see that Cortese is the issue ..any longer . We have "gained" a player who (potentially at least) CDAJFU, as is already registered with the club, and is available for first team selection. Can we wind up this issue now and move on, please ? mafiboy27 Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 Dont know how u can criticise cortese really ? Since hes been in charge we have probably made more progress than nearly every other team in england Remember where we where when we was gettin relegated in administration and lookin like the club would go under Ungratefull +1 Can't believe the moaning. We're still in automatic promotion place despite the poor run of form. and even if we loose the 3 next big matches we would be in good position to secure promotion. Every team will have troble performing with key players out....

It is very clear that the public and stage managed apology was part of the terms if he wanted to play again. It's good they have managed to sort it, but I wouldn't read anything into Puncheon's admission of guilt.

CB Fry Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 I think the CoC experts are really missing the point. We have really struggled since early December primarily because we don't have key back-up players (which I'm sure everyone can agree with). It may be for perfectly acceptable reasons but Cortese has not, or not been able to, address this major issue. So he may not be as good at his job as some of you may think. The CoC. Love it. CB Fry Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 What does it mean? The Cult of Cortese. Worshiping, in the words of one member on here a while back, "the man who will go down as the single most important figure in the history of Southampton football club". Nobody mention Ted Bates. Lazlo78 Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 I take it you're a member of the CoC? So you start a thread to discuss Cortese only to try to ridicule those with differing views from your own by questioning their ability to think for themselves... if you want to present your views unopposed, why not write a blog instead? For the record, I think Cortese can be a nasty piece of work and I LOVE it, cause he's our Arsenal-bashing, Puncheon-bullying, Echo-fighting, programme-covering bad ass chairman. If he was chairman for any other club I'd probably dislike him

Agreed. Dune, you have made yourself look absolutely childish in this thread. Seeing as you're now refusing to debate any of the points raised, preferring instead to just take the p*ss, I'm closing this thread. "Blah blah, CoC conspiracy, worse than the freemasons etc".
