New CB a top priority?

Would have thought it's critical, was before Jos got injured. Seabourne we don't even know if he'll play again this season. Jaidi should have retired last season, I don't think he's up to this level at all, especially with his latest lot of injuries. Love to be proven wrong though because I like him. Either way both Seabourne and Jaidi need replacing if we go up, so do it now if possible to find some quality. Gotta be some Prem CB sitting in the reserves somewhere we could loan for a bit?

We need a ball playing CB - Martin puts us under too much pressure due to his lack of composure and skill on the ball. We need two - one to play now and another as cover as I don't think Martin is ready to step up full time if we get a long term injury.

Personally I think we should loan an experienced Centre Back for a month as cover. We will liekly have Fonte and Jaidi in contention soon and from watching Sky tonight Jos' injury was a tweak not a pull.

Martin was CB#5 in the pecking order behind Fonte, Hooiveld, Jaidi (Who was injured tbf) and Seaborne and not appears to be the only fit one.

Was on the bench for the game v Huddersfield so not that indespensable

I could be wrong but wasn't he coming back from suspension? I know their fans rate him very highly as a ball playing defender. Might be needed as cover at least depending on Jos's injury and predicted recovery time.

Was always a priority in my view, youd need to be a bit daft not to realise this before tonite, Jos' injury just clearly demonstrated why.

Couldn't agree more; seems Adkins has been more focussed on strikers and midfielders, and we certainly need another top striker, but not getting in a real solid ball playing CB to partner either Jos/Fonte seems madness. As Ferguson once said the spine of a team is vital and it is. Our spine in defence is brittle! On yesterday's performance it's clear to me that Martin is already above his station. Jaidi is well past his best. Seabourne's out. Jos is the only one who's impressed me this season and now he's out we've left ourselves exposed by not focussing on getting a decent CB in. Very naive of Adkins if this is the case. Just hope he sorts it now and it doesn't ultimatley cost us promotion. Although everyone else will know how deperate for a CB we are now...

Yes, now a priority to get ONE, maybe 2, CB's in urgently.

Its no blood wonder football is in financial trouble when we think like this. We have 5 good centre backs at the club not counting the youth. Four are injured. Cork and Fox can both play at centre back. Part of the game is trying to survive through injuries with what you have got. Sometimes it is harder than other times (like now!)

Having said that, with Jaidi retiring at the end of the season, I think NA is targetting a quality repcement anyway. But two? No way

Last night we were easily over-run in defence and midfield, which is a bit worrying with us playing what we thought were three midfielders who were good enough. I haven't seen anyone calling for new midfielders.

In defence we were utterly hopeless. Nobody defended well except Jos and the distribution from defence was probably why we never got back into the game, we just kept punting it back to no-one in particular.

As with many posts above, it is a little harsh to judge solely on last night, especially as a major part of the problem was the lack of bite in midfield. The CBs were exposed as Leicester overran us, won every 50/50, and attacked with pace and numbers. I think the loss of Marsden has probably been the hardest hit to the team. If Jos's pull isn't too bad, a 1 month loan of an experienced player might suffice.

Really 5? Jaidi should've retired and Dan seaborne is out for a long ime id say we have 2 good cbs and martin who is an okay cb.
