Would a poor result minus Lallana and Lambert loosen the purse strings?

Watching the game now and with the benefit of a couple of Stella's I'm wondering if we lose this game will it cause us to panic buy or will the transfer targets still be the same? Go gentle on me as this is my first time starting a topic!

Will remain the same I guess. Very poor performance and not what we need with the games we have coming up. Other than beating two very poor teams recently (one in the cup which I don't give a feck about) we have been poor for a while now. I appreciate teams go off the boil but it highlights we need a battling midfielder in the absence of Chappers as our poor form has coincided with his absence. We desperately need another reliable forward as well. Guly and Connolly are fine as secondary strikers to the main man but don't seem to be able to cut the mustard when Rickie is out against decent oppo and Martin has done ok in Fonte's absence but we need another class CB too.

We will never panic buy, it's not in Cortese's nature but we do need to do something... Soon in my opinion. If we have Cardiff, Birmingham and West Ham coming up we could soon find ourselves out of contention of automatic promotion if we don't get out of this funk

If Adkins has been looking for a striker anyway, then the purse strings are already loose - this may just accelerate one or two things, I wouldn't be surprised to see more loans come in than we initially planned for.

An excellent well-reasoned post.

I always worry when we're on the pitch!

Anyone feel like starting a Taxi For Falque thread?

Loaned to us by the ex Portsmouth manager who took us down, no I'm sure he'll be fine.........

If we don't bring in another 2/3 quality player PDQ our season could end in ruins. If we end up in the play offs we won't have enough self belief to get through the first game in one piece ffs.

You can be sure of that . We know Lee is coming but I expect 3 more this week (unless there is another loan on the cards later on - from somewhere)
