Saints V Leicester Match Thread

SOTONS EAST SIDE

Recommended Posts

This is a bit embarassing what with it being on national TV. Everyone will be sitting there thinking 'how did this pile of **** get to top of the league?' Knew it would be like this after reading articles about Leicester being 'down to the bare bones,' 'not won two in a row forever,' 'never keep clean sheet,' 'can't score for toffee.' Had 3-0 written all over it. Need a BIG turn around in the second half just to restore pride. This could be a defining half a game for the season.

Agreed.

It's a real myth that Leicester are down to the bare bones,we're more diminished than they are.

COYS! Let's put that awful first half behind us and restore faith. And could I encourage people to use the match thread for comments related to what is happening on the pitch? It's so much more fun for everyone when we don't have to use match threads to dissect age old disputes..

I reckon we are going to look back on tonight with bitter regret.

Are you suggesting that after our rather languid activity in the transfer market, both summer and winter, that we were still in with a chance of promotion ?

I think today's match will just be part of a more realistic adjustment of our ambitions this season.

Maybe. I'm still gutted though. Seems to me the management had ignored some pretty strident alarm bells over the past few months, like Chaplows injury.
