Ohio Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Well that was bloody depressing!! One hell of a turn around needed second half!!
Window Cleaner Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Who are you, Nostradamus? don't need to be Nostradamus to know that Martin may have problems with Beckford and Nugent.
Under Weststand Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 oh dear that wasn't what we wanted. Na got some serious ass kicking to do at half time.
Gingeletiss Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 I couldn't wait until full time. I hope you know Vinnie!
Saint_Si Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 All I have ever reported is what I see based on the facts. We have a good team but a small squad. We did not do enough over the summer to set us up for the whole season. I said it at the time and what I said is happening exactly as I predicted. Last time I looked we weren't in 17th you ****ing numbnut. How about changing your tune instead of coming out with the same drivel in every post eh.
Avenue Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 P*ss poor so far. Injuries are wrecking our season. Talk about bad luck. Been plagued with injuries. Currently five first teamers out. Fraser, Fonte, Chaplow, lallana, lambert!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 you mean it was OK for the first 15 minutes? Not me statement by the commentators who obviously have seen something we havn't
Cascadia Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Who are you, Nostradanus? more like it.
Wade Garrett Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Hope he brings Richardson on in the second half.
Spudders Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 This is god awful. If this were facebook I'd 'like' this post!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 We are missing 5 players but then so are leicester!
T.REX Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Worst half i've seen for a long time from saints. I know we're missing key players but that was very disappointing. We need a MK Dons style turnaround.
Sheaf Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Getting a bit fed up of seeing Guly keep losing the ball Agreed. Nobody has really acquitted themselves this evening, with the one possible exception of Jos, but Guly has looked anything but a professional footballer. Absolutely dreadful control and just gives the ball away every time he gets near it. This is going to have to be one hell of a HT talk from NA to turn this around. Can't see us even scoring one, let alone two or three.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 typical Saints sort out the away form and then mess up the home form lets hope for a storming second half!
Avenue Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Hope he brings Richardson on in the second half. This would help. Get falque more involved on right. De ridder on left and push Guly further up with Connolly
disconnect Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Wow, everyone blaming Guly?! What about Connolly? Has done nothing and that shot counts more as a miss than a save clear through on goal like that. Weak. Harding and Martin are looking pretty (very) dodgy down the right side of defense.
Bearsy Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Hmm. Leicester playing a high pressing game and we haven't got the presence or pace to expose the space on the break. I'd bring on Lambert and Lallana. Maybe Chaplow to add some energy in midfield?
St.Patrik Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 OK - lets face it - our starting 11 is one of the best in the championship - the replacements to our players out are not...
Mr Saints Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Connolly has been awful, midfield non existent. Half time b0llocking much needed Nige.
Wade Garrett Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Wow, everyone blaming Guly?! What about Connolly? Has done nothing and that shot counts more as a miss than a save clear through on goal like that. Weak. Harding and Martin are looking pretty (very) dodgy down the right side of defense. Bandwagon jumping.
corky morris Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Very very poor. Defence looks shocking. Martin having a mare, but we are losing it in midfield. Also who was marking Mills?? Looked like Hammond, but very very poor defending. Just hope we dont lose by 4 as it is going to take something fundamental to change this round........
pap Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Not a great showing from the lads. Jos has been immense. Connolly looks lost. Leicester doing a great job of doubling up on Saints players when we entered their final third. Saints, not so much. In short, we need a good sort out at half-time.
MOSaint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 They need to get the ****ing ball down and pass it. Also get Harding off, he's been a liability in defence tonight.
Dalek2003 Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Last time I looked we weren't in 17th you ****ing numbnut. How about changing your tune instead of coming out with the same drivel in every post eh. Why. I have been very consistent in my opinions. Even in November I did not get carried away by some posters who lost sense of our very good team but relatively weak squad. Of course I would love us to get promoted but always felt that consolidation was the aim. We may well finish three or four places above 17th, but my prediction would still be closer than most.
DT Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Utterly disgraceful performance. They pass, we hoof. No midfield, toothless attack, porous defense. Marking non- existent. And I'm sorry but whoever thought Hammond was a footballer needs eyes tested. Get Di Prado off. We don't need a performance like that to motivate. As I said before, it's defense where we need the reinforcements. Still, I do have money on 3-2...
lordswoodsaints Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 What a load of crap ! This is why we need new signings, some of those players look way out of their depth, once again guly doesn't look interested and IMO the pitch has been over watered. A left back playing at right back isn't helping either.
John B Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Last time I looked we weren't in 17th you ****ing numbnut. How about changing your tune instead of coming out with the same drivel in every post eh. I do not understand why you think he is talking drivel it is quite clear that the club did not invest enough in the summer or the last few weeks to enhance the team to allow for injuries loss of form suspensions etc. These are quite common during a season but the team has done a great deal better than most would have thought and lets hope they are not a busted flush
Plumstead_Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Hmm. Leicester playing a high pressing game and we haven't got the presence or pace to expose the space on the break. I'd bring on Lambert and Lallana. Maybe Chaplow to add some energy in midfield? Top idea. Oh....
acersaint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 So missing Adam And Ricky. Falque didnt look overawed bring on de Ridder and get Falque more involved. Guly cant deal with the marking. Must be better performance in second half.
graveworm Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Atrocious.......... Dreadful defending .....no midfield.........if we are going to get beat at least show some ****ing balls. you cant blame an attack if there is no support from midfield.
DT Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 FAlque on his mobile at half time. 'Senor Harry? Can I come 'ome now?'
Dalek2003 Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 typical Saints sort out the away form and then mess up the home form lets hope for a storming second half! We have only beaten Forest recently, the Cup game is not quite the same. I predict 5 straight defeats on the way.
MOSaint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Say what you want about who isn't on the pitch, but the players selected are capable of much, much better than the dross served up tonight.
Dr Who? Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Any team missing players right through the core of the team are going to struggle at any level. Saying this we are not showing anything!
Dalek2003 Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Connolly has been awful, midfield non existent. Half time b0llocking much needed Nige. No use flogging a dead horse !
The Kraken Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 OK - lets face it - our starting 11 is one of the best in the championship - the replacements to our players out are not... I don't buy that excuse, to be fair. I think our backup players are at least as good as the backup players other leading sides have. Its just that Lmabert, Lallana and Fonte especially are that good, its very difficult to have backup players who can come in and consistently and adequately fill the void they leave behind. Lallana is consistently rated as the best player outside the Premier League; its natural we're worse off without him. Same for Lambert, top scorer in the league and up there with assists too. It doesn't excuse Guly and Connolly giving us nothing up top and our midfield looking swamped, mind.
Dr Who? Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Say what you want about who isn't on the pitch, but the players selected are capable of much, much better than the dross served up tonight. This, as I also just said..... Poor. Do not deserve to be booed though!
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Dreadful stuff so far. We look so one paced. Contrast with them - Dyer, Nugget and Beckford. Need to shake it up, De Ridder up front, Connelly off.
Avenue Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 We have only beaten Forest recently, the Cup game is not quite the same. I predict 5 straight defeats on the way. Why stop at 5, what's wrong with 10 defeats?
Micky Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 2nd best all over the pitch - we look like the away side. Big, big second half coming up - believe it or not I would be happy to get out 2 - 1 loosers, well happy with a draw and a win would be incredible. Looks like a lot of confidence has gone, we really don't need a hammering at home.
Avenue Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Say what you want about who isn't on the pitch, but the players selected are capable of much, much better than the dross served up tonight. True!
suewhistle Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 Are you ITK? Pleease don't quote him. It's bad enough watching a crap performance with a nervous crowd and a nervous online audience, but to read YKW wallowing in his normal misery, is just toooo much.
Dr Who? Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 We are talking 4 KEY players. Not just any, fonte, chappers, Lallana, and lambert. These are huge players for us!
Micky Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 We have only beaten Forest recently, the Cup game is not quite the same. I predict 5 straight defeats on the way. Do you not have somewhere else to go?

Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 As I predicted,a heavy defeat tonight and our slide down the table continues. Oh bore off somewhere else
IronCitySaint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 This is a bit embarassing what with it being on national TV. Everyone will be sitting there thinking 'how did this pile of **** get to top of the league?' Knew it would be like this after reading articles about Leicester being 'down to the bare bones,' 'not won two in a row forever,' 'never keep clean sheet,' 'can't score for toffee.' Had 3-0 written all over it. Need a BIG turn around in the second half just to restore pride. This could be a defining half a game for the season.
Avenue Saint Posted 23 January, 2012 Posted 23 January, 2012 I reckon we are going to look back on tonight with bitter regret. I reckon you should feck off.
