If the rumour is true...

It is not a rumour that Fonte is injured, so where did you hear "rumour" about Lallana? EDIT: Oh, THEVMAN

As it happens, I think we won a game or two before we signed Lambert and Fonte and while Lallana was still in the ressies. Under Pearson maybe? :)

Well at very least we have our new loan signing Iago from Spurs and word has it he will be in the line up. Let's be positive rather than start this Year of the Dragon with negativity. After all in 1976 Year of the Dragon we overcame adversity and won the FA CUP

Yep the V man, the man that consistently gives our oppo the heads up on who will and who won't be playing. Time he was banned from here?

It's an interesting notion, but ultimately it is down to the club and the players to keep it in house better if they value secrecy. It would be odd to ban someone for posting information that people log on here to find out.

Many moons ago I recall Keith Legg deleting posts and threating bans to people for naming a mystery trialist in case another team snuck in and purchased him.

Yeah you are so right, I'd much rather listen to the other hundreds of "ITK's" who don't have a clue, and instead ban the only poster who actually does! Behave. If it was that top secret, I'm pretty certain he wouldn't have been privy to the information in the first place.

well I'm sure they try to, but when items like this pop-up it's not a strategy that we can exploit anymore - is it ?

(I mean why didn't we tell Hitler our Normandy invasion plans from the beginning?).

I mean ...Why bother keeping the team selection secret... when you can tell the world in advance. Might it have something to do with tactics?

If you think it really doesn't matter if they know our team in advance - why not twitter to Nigel Pearson now, then you can be sure everyone knows !

I'm sure he has plans to try and neutralise the Lallana threat..now he won't have to bother .

GREAT POST ! (I don't think) maybe Keith Legg had the right idea!

Anyway it's ridiculous to believe that opposing teams don't know who's fit and who isn't at Saints a couple of days before matches.

Quite obviously ..if it's a long-term injury, but those "training injuries " are usually kept quiet until kick-off time - aren't they?

Was it known in advance who was going to play in goal in that fateful Blackpool game ?.....or was everyone as surprised as me to see Bart appear instead of KD?

Think we'd had the heads up on that actually, that's not the point,it's not about any forumist or journalist knowing it's about

the opposition who no doubt have ways and means of finding out whatever they want to know if they actually want to that is.

Like tonights match, do you think that we don't know already who got on to Leicester's team bus this morning or yesterday?

Of course - if we had anyone who could identify the 16 players who got on the Leicester bus it might help us plan, but I do think that going on-line with

info. that our best player is injured and likely to be out isn't really in the same category - is it ?

Maybe Nigel Pearson won't get to hear about it in advance of the fans before kick-off..maybe.but it will make his selection a bit easier if indeed he knows that he doesn't have to worry about Lallana's presence in the game. Most managers look at videos of the opposition in preparation, and who wouldn't if they were playing a team at the top..? ..I don't think publishing this information (if correct) is so harmless as some might think. It's vital to player selection, and playing strategy.
