Was looking a little tired at the Brighton game before his sending off.

If we can get through tomorrows game with a win then think we will be

in good shape with a fit and rested raring to go Lambert.

I think that's a valid positive to take from it. It's given him a nice month off and the league should fear him returning.

I think this is his longest layoff in about 4 of 5 years.

We will also have Barnard coming back in for the run in as well who I think

will come good. I believe he can make the step up and give our bench a better look

than at recent games.

At Brighton our subs looked very weak.

As far as I'm aware the intention is to loan Barnard out to another club for the rest of the season, as soon as he's fit.

Think that may change if we don't bring anyone else in, Lee (if the transfer completes) is a massive gamble,

Barnard would be ok to loan if we have a re-call clause in and better option which at the moment don't think we have.

I can't see that happening at all.

Edit. But if was to go out on loan and score a winning goal against west ham then that would be ok

Good shout, but a goal scorer on a good run just wants to carry on playing and scoring. But we will see. Win tomo, the a cup game and hen back for the Cardiff game and his hat trick.

Best thing that can happen. He's been out for nearly 9 months, apart from 3 or 4 twenty min. sub.apps. -- and then he got injured again.

His goal-scoring record ..has all been in L1, if he really is going to make a comeback this season, he needs a month or two in an L2 / Conference side, and bang in a few hat-tricks to help him get his form back.

After all, by the time he gets properly fit again, we could be in the Premiership... and he'll have missed the whole season in CCC.
