Going to be very tough to finish above west ham and Cardiff but everyone would gave been chuffed to be up there competing with them and I still am.

Nah its not. West Ham struggled at home to beat a team near the bottom that have recently been soundly beaten by both Saints and leicester. Genuinely think Saints are the best team in the league by a margin.

I had Cardiff and Wham down as home bankers today, so I suppose I'm not overly upset. However for the Skates to get that close and then f**k it up with 1 minute of injury time left is a kick in the balls.

Still, Boro losing is an unexpected bonus and they had 2 men sent off, with the associated suspensions to come.

Could be their last game ever...now that would be worth celebrating!

F*ck off and die skate ba stards

Always hoped that clubs would avoid being wound-up as a matter of principle.

But PFC is so saturated in sleaze and dishonesty that on this occasion I really do agree with you.

Feel sorry for all the really old Pompey codgers and founding fathers spinning in their graves if it does happen, but not the current bunch of in-bred mongs that support them.

If Saints win their next two games (both are at St Mary's) they will be...

- Top (unless a goal swing occurs)

- Definitely 7 points above Cardiff

- At the very least 8 points above Middlesbrough, possibly 11 ahead.

Use your 10,000 post wisely!!!!!!

Indeed. I think the fact that Cardiff don't play next weekend will mean that it'll be a 'development' team for the Millwall game less RL who'll need a game.

If Saints win their next two games (both are at St Mary's) they will be...

- Top (unless a goal swing occurs) or even 3 points above West Ham if they lose away to Ipswich.

- Definitely 7 points above Cardiff

- At the very least 8 points above Middlesbrough, possibly 11 ahead.

I like that. Makes looking at today's results a whole lot easier. I expect us to beat Leicester, and providing we do, I can't see us not then going on to taking 3 points off Cardiff too.

Is our problem that we're looking to be too comfortable? Surely that's when complacency might most likely creep in.

Come on, do you really expect to blue filth down the M27 to put themselves out to get a result that benefits us ?

Do you honestly think their players give a stuff about Southampton FC. I think you will find they would have preferred the 3 points because if they do get docked 10 points the 3 points would keep them out of the relegation zone as things stand at the moment.

Any way a win Monday and we back on top with a 4 point gap over 3rd.

Surprised your first post on this thread was when results had gone against us, so unlike you.
