Matthew Le God Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 (edited) I went to the 3rd round game at St Mary's vs Sheff Utd which saw Saints run out 7-0 winners against last season's finalists. I recommend going to the 5th round vs Nottingham Forest at St Mary's next Wednesday to see the future of the club, in what should be a good and cheap evening's entertainment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0NjRHWfB2A&feature=youtu.be Would be good to see a "big" crowd for this... Tickets will be available to be on the night from the turnstiles at St. Mary's. Entry will be by cash at the turnstile as follows: £5 Adults £3 Over 65 and Under 17 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2582993,00.html Parking is free tonight at St Mary's. jordansibley Jordan Sibley For those that have asked, parking is free for tonight's Youth Cup game. Tickets just £5 for an adult too, so get yourself to SMS! #saintsfc 9 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply Edited 25 January, 2012 by Matthew Le God

landford.saint Posted 21 January, 2012 Posted 21 January, 2012 Mrs LS and I went to the last one at SMS in the wind and rain. Recommend it to all that can get there. We are definately going again. We have been to loads of these over the years at SMS and Marchwood, a good cheapish night out, if you bring your own eats.
Dr Who? Posted 21 January, 2012 Posted 21 January, 2012 Would love to go, if they could move the fixture to garden walk in Royston!

ThreeSixty Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Anyone know if there is any parking available at the ground?
Colinjb Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Would probably have been a better idea to use my time off to go to this game rather then the Leicester debacle. All the best to the nippers tonight.
SuperMikey Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Off to this game tonight, looking forward to seeing our young players in action.

Seaford Saint Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 I am at work in Newbury otherwise I would go. Its an awful journey into Southampton for evening games
krissyboy31 Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Latest: 1-0 down, against the run of play2-0 now!
Doctoroncall Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Did Bamford score? He seems highly rated and likely to see first team action this season. He scored five and had three assists in the last round.
shirleysfc Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Is it too early to blame Puncheon for this?
shirleysfc Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Is it too early to blame Puncheon for this? Or Guly?
SFC Forever Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Did Bamford score? He seems highly rated and likely to see first team action this season. He scored five and had three assists in the last round. Scored the first
S-Clarke Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 oh dear what a forgettable 3 matches at St Mary's these have been.
Saint_Jonny Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 0-4 Bamford hatrick. This kid is good then, no?
Sour Mash Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Does this mean Forest are going to be the new Barcelona?
sfc4prem Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Right, that's it. Buy Bamford right this fecking instant.
BARCELONASAINT Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Does this mean Forest are going to be the new Barcelona? There is only one BARCA!
LGTL Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Last 3 games at St Marys... P3 W0 D0 L3 F0 A8 :)
mcjwills Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 The Don will tell this Bamford lad sign up now or you will be getting new boots made from concrete.
beavis17 Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Forest could do with Bamford in their first team..
Matthew Le God Posted 25 January, 2012 Author Posted 25 January, 2012 (edited) I assume Forest are routing their league? Not at all. I'm stunned by tonight, Saints have beaten Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace etc this season in the league and then get stuffed 5-1 by Forest! Yes, those games were in the league and the youth cup means more, but even still it is a bizarre result. SaintAndy14 Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 For a team who can't buy a goal it looks as though this guy deserves a chance at least
JRM Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 it doesn't exactly bode well for our future in the champions league with a team full of academy players does it.
LGTL Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 That Bamford kid scored 5 in the last round against Wigan, winning 9-1!
SNSUN Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 Out of contract this summer according to Forest forum...
Rebel Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 I thought our youth team was supposed to be good - they are obviously not! More false promises!?!
S-Clarke Posted 25 January, 2012 Posted 25 January, 2012 I thought our youth team was supposed to be good - they are obviously not! More false promises!?! Tongue in cheek I hope. You can't read anything into 1 game.
