Dalek2003 Posted 19 January, 2012 Posted 19 January, 2012 Didn't Sullivan say last season it'd be armageddon if West Ham got relegated? Where are they getting their money from, FFS. As someone said 'it is **** or bust' for them. Quite frankly it is ridiculous and the Football authorities are to some extent to blame for not allowing the likes of Pompey to go bust and making an example !
saintscottofthenortham Posted 19 January, 2012 Posted 19 January, 2012 Agreed. If we did that it would totally destroy any credibility that the management had unless we bought Rooney from Man U or some other such player. I was almost right. Yaaaaaaaawn.

ThreeSixty Posted 19 January, 2012 Posted 19 January, 2012 http://premierliga.net/arsenali-interesohet-per-rickie-lambert/ Off to Arsenal according to this completely legitimate looking Albanian website.
The9 Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Lolz at transparent unsettling attempt. Or, having seen the twitter conversation posted.... "Lolz at idiots who can't read".
The9 Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Didn't Sullivan say last season it'd be armageddon if West Ham got relegated? Where are they getting their money from, FFS. I would imagine they have their eyes on the £30-£90m (don't start that again) prize of Prem football to cover the costs of their splurging, even if that, er, was the division that got them in the shart in the first place.
The9 Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Absolutely mental... You could argue Lambert had no structure at Bristol Rovers but he done brilliantly there. Besides, the disruption it would cause the team to find a replacement and integrate them would cost us points, possibly promotion as, sadly, other team would then hike their prices knowing we'll be scrambling around trying to find a suitable replacement. That's "did" well, not "done" well, you thick feck.
LostBoys Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 @segalmark @westhamfootball Next up: Southampton reject West Ham approach for Rickie Lambert source: Editor of MirrorFootball.co.uk, Games Editor of Sunday Mirror. Dr Who? Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Lambert is going nowhere, well even if a premier league team came in, I think he would stick it out and try and live the dream in a Saints shirt. If we do not get promoted then he may well leave. West Ham are playing the **** or bust game, but will go up, I have no doubt at all about this.
Doctoroncall Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Didn't Sullivan say last season it'd be armageddon if West Ham got relegated? Where are they getting their money from, FFS. They actually posted a £6.8m profit on the last set of accounts. If they do not go up this season or next, it's game over and the bongo brothers will be penniless.
Mouldy Coat Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Lambert off to West Ham.....oh right, I'll type that on my imaginary typewriter shall I? Dream on Hammers!
Norm Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 That's "did" well, not "done" well, you thick feck. Are you a retired English teacher? You seem to spend most of your time on here correcting Grammar/Spelling. You need a new obsession. Try Line Dancing/ Country Walking.
dronskisaint Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 I think they've now been linked with every striker from L1 to the lower regions of the Premiership. What a ridiculous rumour that is though. The Redcrap effect lingers long after he's bankrupted many other clubs....
alpine_saint Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Think they are just trying to upset the apple cart at sms IMO My immediate thought. Simply a destabillisation tactic. In our postion, and with NCs reputation, they would know they would be looking to source around 15m for this move.
david in sweden Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Didn't Sullivan say last season it'd be armageddon if West Ham got relegated? Where are they getting their money from, FFS. who says they've got any real money ?.......maybe they would offer a player swap!....ANYWAY ...there is no way Ricky would go anywhere right now.
sammysaint Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 Everyone has a price and at the momment lambo is they key to promotion to the prem which is worth at least 50 mill so i would say 10-15 mill is his value to us, however i think if we managed to get 7 million that would be a good deal for a 29 year old and the board would accept, i would be gutted he is one of very few current players who is a legend at this club.

You seem to forget who our CEO is. If you reckon 7million is a good deal, I suspect he would consider 15million. He serious reamed Arse over the AO-C deal.
Fan The Flames Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 £6m at the end of the season and i'll bite your hand off. I never understand this sentiment, aren't we meant to be football fans not business fans. As football fans we should want to keep one of our best players at any cost, some people talk like mini CEO's.
mitch01 Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 They actually posted a £6.8m profit on the last set of accounts. If they do not go up this season or next, it's game over and the bongo brothers will be penniless. Didn't that include very substantial donations made to the club by the owners?
sandwichsaint Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 You seem to forget who our CEO is. If you reckon 7million is a good deal, I suspect he would consider 15million. He serious reamed Arse over the AO-C deal. Did he though? With the new financial rules that's probably the going rate for the absolute top-end youngsters (there's not very many of them available with probably 90% of the top boys already with the big clubs). Bits I've seen of AOC he seems to have settled well and at this stage I would imagine that they consider it money well spent (even though you and I would probably have bought an established goal keeper and a decent centrehalf for the same money).

Alain Perrin Posted 20 January, 2012 Posted 20 January, 2012 As this thread is based on a sarcastic comment the thread title should be changed. Otherwise passing traffic see the headline and it becomes fact to them. People should also stop posting on it as it bumps it up the page :0
